Good morning-

We went to a bar-b-1ue on Sunday night and the food wasn't finihsed so we went back yesterday. I'm sick of looking at food. Johnny and I are back on the wagon to eating right. The first day I did great but I did have some macaroni and cheese yesterday. Big no no for low carb diet and cutting out the white stuff.

Lori..about FOF get together. Sassy and I were just kind of joking around about getting the guys together to go fishing. I won't be bringing my DH.

Today is chest, shoulder, tricep day for me. I'll do 30-45 minutes of cardio as well.

What's your workout for the day?

My 15 minute project will be doing some more filing.

And yours?

Good morning!Today my workout will probably be a long walk.Yesterday I jumped on the treadmill and ran 5 miles. My running has not gone well lately so I felt good about that.Did a full body weight workout so no weights today.

Not sure about the 15 min project, have a bunch of stuff to catch up on. Need to mow the yard which I should have done yesterday. In a lazy mode today. Haven't slept well for 2 nights.First night I dreamed about my dog and then got up looking for her. Can't believe how much I miss her. Then last night I fought with my head.Something's changing my headaches and I can't tell what it is.Since Jan I've been working with Drs and trying new things and honestly I think I'm getting more headaches. It's such a pain :)

Hope everyone has a great day!!

Good Morning to all

Set out the workout clothes last night, set the alarm for 5:30 and I'm up and running this morning, well not literally. It is pouring here and only 52 and I headed for the basement for my 3 mile walk tape.

I got my 30 minutes of yoga in last night and it felt so wonderful! Hope to make either stretching or yoga part of a before bed routine.

I haven't met with my literacy student for almost a month. Her mom had a stroke and she's been going back and forth between Mississippi and NY trying to get things settled. But we are supposed to meet this evening and it will be good to see her again.

Off to work in a few minutes. Fall always brings on a back to business court calendar and as my boss has been out for 2 weeks and coming off of a 3 day weekend I'm sure the phone will be very busy today!

Hope you all have a great day.

Weekend was good. Yesterday was great! Temps in the upper 70's most of the day. We put about 200 miles on the bikes just riding around this weekend. Saturday was rainy so we just had a power lounge with da bears and a couple movies. Never did get to finish that last one but I've seen it a hundred times anyway.

Workout today is step class this evening.

Unfortunately, DH isn't kidding about coming along. I don't think he'd be a bother though. He was talking about a few things he wanted to do on his own while we were out there. He's got friends on the east coast, so I doubt he'd be in the way. We've already determined that airfare is too expensive and the bus is out of the question. So bikes it is if I'm going at all. My Vulcan gets 45 miles to the gallon on premium gasoline. I REALLY want to go.

Have a goo day everyone!

Good Morning!

First day back to school...yippee! All kids were up and moving early with smiles...we'll see how long THAT lasts!

My entire morning is all screwed up. Haven't been able to get online at home since yesterday afternoon. Had to make hotel reservations for work and needed to get those in first thing this morning so at 8:00 I was in the office. Grrrrr. Have my workout clothes on. Boss still on vacation :) He's back tonight so it's back to the grind tomorrow. After I get a call back on the reservations (hopefully, there is still space for us), I'll head back home to workout. Woke up really looking forward to it today. 30-60 minutes cardio, abs & legs.

No way MY DH is coming along next October. This is GIRLS weekend and I don't want him hanging around. Love him, though :)

Have a great day, ladies.

You rock!

Good morning. Had plans of doing something outdoors with the kids this afternoon but its just gross out there today. Looks like the first week back to school for our guys is going to include rain. Yuck, maybe I will end up driving her tomorrow. I know I spoil them. Anyhow, just having my morning tea. The wash is on, and my bed is made. Going to bring a batch upstairs in a minute, wash up and put my sweats (not shorts) on and head over to Curves. Last week I did not make it to Curves, Thurs, Fri, and Sat, so I did my treadmill, for this I am proud of myself. Well I know my routine for this morning will be my stretching, and workout. Maybe this afternoon or tonight I can shoot for another treadmill or video tape walk. My 15 minute project is to get dd closet into order, and hem 2 of her new pants. Back to eating low carb and healthy today.

Good morning! Going to head to the VCR when I leave here to get in my workout. After that I'll need to get ready to meet two women from the Republican Women's Club for lunch to discuss the changes in the newsletter.

This afternoon I plan to get some walking time in. I'm also drinking water as I check the board.

Phyllis, that scripture is a good way to look at ourselves and maybe help keep us on the wagon. That's a real motivator for me, so think I'll tape it to the refrigerator and on the bathroom mirror. Maybe I should write it in Sharpie on the palm of my hand too!

I think next month makes two years that I've been posting on the board, and it seems we've been talking about wanting to have a "Girls' Weekend" together doing the spa thing, exercising, girl-talk, etc., as long as I can remember. No way Tim would want to be into that. Robbie would, just because he's nosy and wouldn't want to be left behind, but once he got there he'd be bored, demand my attention, and want to rush me to do other things that interest him (I'm speaking ONLY of Robbie here). Having family there would change the whole nature of the get-together, in spite of my best intentions. I couldn't help but wonder if they were having a good time or feeling bad that they weren't joining us for a meal or some other activity and if they did, I feel certain it would affect how much the group felt free to interact. It would be a wedge between the rest of the group and me just because of familial alliances. Plus, my guys have their own activities that I'm not part of (especially Robbie), so I'm not going to feel guilty about having one for me. This paragraph is only about my family and me, so please don't anyone take it personally.

Weather is beautiful, so I'm looking forward to getting outside later. Have a great day everyone!

Patty, I hope your head feels better soon!

Wow, 200 miles, Lori? Sounds fun!

As far as my ds coming out to the FOF get together, I have a brother who lives near Asheville, so he would be dropped off there. (Instant teen sitter!) However, I'll be fortunate if I can get time off from my jobs to even attend the get together! I have been with Dillard's over a year and can't take any vacation until next year (I've accrued 25 hours already). ALSO, they are very picky about when I can take these hours! Grrrr!! DS and I plan to visit my mom in New Jersey next year, so that may be the only travel plans we act upon. Oh well . . . But I do really want to meet everyone; and Lori, I would enjoy meeting your dh and any other family member of this board, if indeed I get to join you all.

Today, I am doing a BUNCH of cardio and Pilates. I think every muscle is sore (means I've been lax up until yesterday on the weights!) today! 8 glasses of water & that means drinking some before each meal. A trip to the dentist for ds is on agenda as well as some housecleaning (for ds and I both!).

Have a lovely day, everyone.

Do you think if you talked to someone now about your vacation, you might be able to get the time off for the get-together? It's mostly a weekend, so wouldn't take a lot of weekdays. It's great that you have someone so close to be able to take Danny. He would have a great time in Asheville free to do the things that teen boys like to do.

I thought your mom lived in St. Augustine. Did she move, or is that another relative I'm confusing her with?

Dillard's won't discuss vacations with anyone until after January. They have so many rules & regulations . . .

I have a brother who lives in Gainesville, FL, another one who lives near Jacksonville, and one brother who recently got married and lives in E. Tennessee. My mother has lived in NJ for years, but was able to fly down to St. Augustine for our little family get together in May of 2001. She is afraid of flying, so that was something for her to do! I really want to see her by next year, so that of course is my first priority. It is very hard to not have family out here and have them so scattered. Makes seeing them all the more special, doesn't it?
