Good morning ladies-
Did this week fly by or what?! I was off (on what day it is) all week long with the Labor Day holiday.
Today is some UB body work and I'm not sure what I'll do for cardio. What are your plans for working out?
What is your 15 minute project?
What can you do for yourself as a 15 minute treat?
Have a wonderful day!

Typical Smith day today. Everything is in an uproar and I'm the one that has to give up MY plans for the day. Grrrr.
I feel better after getting it out.
So. Not sure when my workout will happen. But it will happen, even if I have to go into work late.
Cardio and legs WILL happen today. Just not sure when it will get worked in.
Off and running in twenty directions this morning.
I'll check in later.
Hugs.

Thanks for repling to me. I thought it over and decided to give Curves a break. I really enjoy going but you can not pick or choose which machines to do or not to do when you go. Its a complete circle and you do each machine 2 times. So with that being said I am getting together with mom and we are going walking. Looks like our rain will hold off, my fingers are crossed. It takes me about 35 to 40 minutes to walk 2 miles, I have it clocked milage wise with the car. So I am sure she will not have any problem walking further. Maybe 30 minutes in one direction and 30 back. Thats my goal this morning.
My 15 minute project will be my older sons room. Last night he asked if I would "make" his bed if he stripped it. He also needs his comforter washed. More then 15 minutes worth or work, but that is the one thing I want to tackle today. Something for me, well the walk is for me. Maybe after lunch or during lunch I will grab my magazine and read a little while sitting on my front porch.

Ok let's see how many excuses I can come up with as to why I didn't get up this morning-1. Forget to set the alarm 2. Stiff and sore from yesterday! Apparently I didn't think I was doing much of anything yesterday but guess I used some muscles that haven't been worked too much lately! 3. Feeling a bit on the lazy side this morning as is the case a lot of times by the end of the work week! I'll see what I feel like after work, grocery shopping and eating dinner late. But my overall feeling is that it will be a day of rest!
Wishing everyone a pleasant day!

Never did my 15 minute project from yesterday - sorting through pictures. 15 minute treat... really that was last night's consignment shopping! Pretty much finished outfitting Allison for the winter/fall, except for a Christmas dress and outfit usually supplied by one of the grandmas - got Allison 13 clothing items, mostly sets, and 5 pairs of shoes (she's outgrown all of last year's seasonal shoes) and some Barbie clothes for $118. Amounts to about $6 per item. Some of the clothes and shoes have no evidence of wear at all.

Workout tonight is 45 min of cardio. 15-minute project - dash through Costco to get only what I need and not get distracted.
15-minute treat - foot massage with Bath & Body Works "Toe the Line" rosemary/mint/almond-shell cream and treatment with B&BW "Shea It Isn't So" foot cream. Got one scheduled for this evening.
Have a great day, everyone!

Some places in FL may get over 15" of rain this weekend from the tropical storm in the Gulf. Surf is predicted to be up to 8' and glassy here tomorrow, so guess where we'll be if the weather isn't too bad, rain or shine. If it rains, I'll stay home. It's too hot to sit in the car with the windows rolled up. We should get up to 6" of rain here.
I almost got to work on a fundraiser for George W. next week, but they aren't taking any more volunteers. My name was put on a list in case any extra tickets turn up, which would be even better. That's the only way I'd get to go, because tickets are $2,000. each!!!
Hope to mow this afternoon before the rains start.

It's been a bit of a zoo around here the last week or so. I haven't had a whole lot of time on line.
It started last weekend when my dd announced that she wanted to "crash" on the couch in dh's office for a while. Seems she and her roommate couldn't make rent again!! GRRR! What can I say ...the girl has her father's spending habits! So, dh and I (both sick with a nasty bug) spent Sunday shuffling the house around to make room for her and her things and then spent Monday moving her in! The couch situation would not work out, since dh has co-workers, etc. that come in, so I cleared out my sewing room and my oldest ds is storing some of her things at his place.
On a brighter note, Adam started kindergarten and I am getting in some great cardio everyday walking back and forth to school with him. I only missed cardio on Wednesday this week, so I'm feeling pretty good about it. Next week ds is in kindergarten for the full morning, so I'm looking forward to some really good workout time.
It's been so hot here through the whole summer that I've only turned the oven on a couple of times. I'm really looking forward to some cooler weather moving in so we can have things like roast chicken and pot roast again! I love salads, but I'm beginning to feel a bit like a rabbit. I checked though, and there's not little puffy tail yet!
This afternoon I'm off to attend my oldest dd's graduation from her culinary arts class. Should be interesting.
Have a wonderful day all,
Shar
I am determined to find that exercise band today and do some of that. I did some leg work in bed last night. What a sight!! Pushups and crunches are going ok. "Walking" around Lowe's was tiring and I broke out in some sweat getting around. At least we got the last few things we needed as well as a stool I can rest my butt on in the kitchen when trying to do things.
My 15 minute project...making reduced fat Bisquick biscuits to go with all the berries that are in the refrigerator. DD defrosted some and I am looking forward to eating them over "shortcake".
Have a good one.
