I am just so proud of myself that I have to share...Today, after the Republican Women's Club meeting (which went very well, and everyone loved the newsletter), I had birthday money burning a hole in my pocket. ;-) I decided to run by the mall to see what I could find. Well, I ended up getting 4 pullover tops, 1 jacket/cardigan, and a tea length straight skirt (all beautiful Misook knits) which would have been $1,166. (and stayed in the store!) for $251.45!!! I am so excited! Tim said I could probably quadruple the money, and I did even better. I love it when that happens! And, Kat, they were all from Dillard's. I think I'll run over to a couple of other Dillard's in town to see what they have! This motivates me to eat better and exercise.

I'm not a pro, but I've had a number of people tell me I should become a personal shopper, since I enjoy it so much and tend to do well (practice makes perfect). Went to another mall about 22 miles from here this evening, but that Dillard's didn't carry what I was looking for. I did splurge and get some sexy, strappy, bright red heels!! I've never owned red heels in my life. I'm still debating about keeping them, but Tim really likes them. I'll try walking in them a little more and see if they're worth it. I decided I'm taking back the camel ones I got the other day. I really need navy now, but designers seem to have decided that women will not wear navy heels this year (at least not in Jax.).

Anyway, it was a really fun day. On the way home, I saw the moon, and it is even more spectacular than last night. It's as though it is shiner brighter for 9/11.

Forgot to tell you that I've gotten a lot of teasing through the years about my shopping. My niece's two deaf step-children came up with a sign for my name by using the sign for "R" with the motion for shopping, so my name is basically "R shopping" in their sign language. LOL! Robbie's is an "R" with a surfing motion. My first email name was a play on words, Spendswift," but in recent years I've gotten to be more of a Spendthrift.

As the saying goes, "Such a deal".....

Meanwhile, my Denim & Company black denim topper jacket that I just ordered Saturday morning arrived last night. Love it - especially the tan topstitching. The whole look is a nice change from that tired old raincoat (yeah, that's black, too) I've been using for years on cooler days. And the price was really right.

Can I send you my wish list and my Christmas list? I pay well....

When I got back from downstate this afternoon, I couldn't resist going back to see if I'd missed anything. There were some white knit slacks, but I'm not into white slacks. I will be keeping tabs on a coral and black group that will get marked down eventually.

We should meet in a good shopping area about halfway and do the malls together!!
