Good morning-

For some it might seem like finally Friday. For me, I can't believe how fast this week has gone by. I have the whole weekend off...woohoo. I think I'll just stay home in my sweats all day Saturday and do some cleaning out closets, uncluttering Johnny's drawers (he's a packrat), cleaning house...stuff like that.

For today...let's see. I'm done by noon so I think I'll go to the gym and do a full body workout and eliptical trainer. Matchstick Men is opening today so I might go see that either this afternoon or..just sometime this weekend.

15 minute project will be to make a list of all I need to get together for the annual health fair at Lockheed Martin.

What's up with you today? Make it a great day!

Good Morning,

It is a FINALLY it's Friday morning for me but it's payday so that always a good thing. It's been a busy work week and I'll be glad when 5PM comes. No workout for me this morning as I need to get out of here in a few minutes to go have a bone density test done before going to work. I need to go grocery shopping because the cupboards are bare but never put a shopping list together so not sure whether I'll get that task completed or not.

That about sums up my day. Except for the paycheck part not very exciting!

Have a good day!

This week has gone by fast for me too. I'd like to see "Matchstick Men." It got a 4-star rating in the paper today by a local reviewer. Public schools have a teacher's planning day, so Rob is going surfing with a friend and his father. I'm a little nervous about it with no lifeguards out any more and Hurricane Isabel kicking up surf and currents. Plus, I really feel better when Tim is out in the water with him. I know Tim would like to be out in the water with him today.

I am getting ready to meet my mom to head downstate, so most of my day will be in the car. We are picking up my sister's MIL and two of Mom's oldest and dearest friends who live in the Daytona area and "doing lunch." Then we'll head back to Jacksonville. We're meeting at the mall where I had such good luck yesterday, so I'm probably going to run back in and see if there's anything I missed! ;-)

Hope everyone has a fantastic Friday!

Good morning.I'm not very happy with myself this morning.I have been doing well with workouts and food and seeing some difference. Then Wednesday I let my eating get out of hand. It's also the week before Flo hits here so with all that I'm feeling FLUFFY!!Need to get back at it today. Not sure what my workout will be,a walk maybe. Also need to get my slide back out sometime.

Did some major cleaning and throwing out last night. I have to stop saving every magazine. So my 15 min plus some will be cleaning up and throwing out.

It's going to be rainy and cool here today so it will be a good day to stay in and get things accomplished.Have a great day everyone!

Good morning....

I'm walking at noon today again, and since I bombed on the weight work Thursday evening, will do light cardio again and weights tonight.

I have a grocery list a mile long in my head and need to get it on paper before I forget; these are the things I can't buy in bulk at Costco.

I bought the South Beach Diet book yesterday, and I'll be reading this weekend to see if it's really doable for DH and me; from skimming it, I think I can follow Phase I for 2 weeks, but I'm not sure about him - the man loves his bread, pasta and potatoes.

Have a good day, everyone!

Hi to all....happy Friday! I'm home today and have a list a mile or two long to get done. Mowing, laundry, cleaning, ironing, and the list goes on and on and on.

Today I'll do cardio and hopefully some weight lifting. I haven't done lifting for a LONG time. I like to be outside in the nice weather. Maybe I can do it today sometime.

We have some new exercise equipment coming here that we purchased in the cities and I'm really excited about it. The truck phoned and they're delivering it today. Now to figure out how to get it downstairs to the exercise area. I'm even thinking that I'd like to put some mirrors on the walls down there so that I can watch my form when I'm lifting weights. (I'm kind of getting into this idea). LOL One of the pieces is a recumbant exercise bike for DH....he wants to keep working out all winter long for cardio and strength. I'm SOOOOO HAPPY to hear that! Maybe I'll be able to keep this guy healthy and around for a long time!!!!

My 15 minute project? I don't have any projects that will only take 15 minutes but I'll work on my longer ones today. LOL

I've been eating pretty poorly the last two days. I've had a craving for sweets. I'll bet that I've eaten six or seven donuts in the last two days. Shame on me. But my exercising has been good. Working out in the morning before I go to work has REALLY been GREAT! I get 30 minutes done then and when I get home, I've been doing more. I feel GREAT about that part. So now if I can get my food back under control, I might lose another pound or two which I'd sure like to do.

Have a great day everyone!

Nancy - Enjoy the new workout equipment. It'll be great having it home and handy. I love ours and think it was a terrific investment in our health. The mirror idea is a good one; it'll make the area look bigger, too.

DH and I have some work to do in our dungeon. We need to damp-proof the walls; one of the civil engineers in my office offered to get us a cemetitious material that he has used to repair leaking concrete tunnels that we can apply to the walls. We need to do some cleanup down there first (wire-brushing the walls to remove flaky concrete and mildew), and will probably need to rent a heavy-duty drill to mix the stuff, but the rest according to him is like applying spackle. I was having visions of serious excavation and drainage system installation for $$$$$, but this is the $200-dollar solution - along with a little sweat and elbow grease from us - that he has proposed to others in the office and who have testified that it works. Once we get that done, we can brighten up the area with paint and maybe add some mirrors. Someday - like when the dampness finally stops -we might even be able to have it converted to real casual living space, but that's a ways off. Now we just need to wait for DH's back to heal....or else for me to turn into a HGTV-type weekend warrior....

How exciting, Phyllis... a fitness fair! I always liked going to those...sometimes there would be some in the local malls.

My exercise today was to get out of the house! I got to the bank, gas station and then treated myself to a manicure. My first! I packed for trip to Syracuse with DD. She has a wedding and really doesn't want to drive alone or be alone in the hotel room. So I offered. I am also trying to do some laundry. Do you know how much "exercise" it takes to do these things with crutches and balancing on one foot? Sheesh...this is tougher than I thought.

Have a nice relaxing and productive weekend.
