I'm Too Old for this!

My sneaking around days should be over----but they're not! I'm having one of those very INSECURE times in my life and I thought shopping would help a bit. I bought a gown as a goal dress to wear to the Valentine's Day ball (next year LOL). It's about four sizes smaller than I wore a few years ago...and uh...I definitely need a lot of workouts between now and then, but the thing fit. OK---instead of focusing on it fitting, I focused on my butt and my upstairs and my....

So--as I ran errands I decided to stop at the shoe store, needed and bought new cross-trainers, fell in love and also bought some high heeled black knee length boots. Shopping therapy.

I tucked them away in the trunk of the car, NOT that Eric says a word about my shopping but I thought I could sneak them in on Monday. He offered to go to the grocery store to get things for a real homemade meal (haven't been a grocery store since the last week of August).

I just went to the garage and saw he took my car...hurrrumph. Wait til he tries to get the groceries in the trunk of the car...and I wonder if he'll say anything :(.

Well...since I need to work on my rear end I better stop sitting at the computer! I'm off...with my shopping tail between my legs.

So---do you ever shop and leave things in the car? Sneak em in the house? Have plastic on them so they rememble dry cleaning? Just curious...

I'm guilty of that too. I don't shop very much and Johnny never says anything. I don't know why but...I do it too.

Rick never says anything but my Mom always does!!!So I have a policy.I have to have had something a couple of days before I wear it around Mom. Then when she says"is that new ?"I say "oh, no I've had it for awhile."

Tim knows my wardrobe pretty well, so I just bring them in and hang them in the closet with the tags cut off. Plus, he's amazed at how far I make money go on my shopping sprees, so he has no reason to complain. He usually just laughs and shakes his head in amazement. See Super Shopping Post below. LOL!

There will none of that around here! With the amount of tools that have come through the door, the new snowblower last year and after the combined barrage of what DS is going to have to buy to "work" on his car and the place where DH can get a cover for the back of his pickup with no shipping charges there will be no complaining about the few times a year that I go shopping! In fact he usually likes to see what I've bought!

You go, Susan! Nothing like having tools to hold over his head when you want to buy something. LOL!

Yeah, I do, but what I sneak in is usually for Allison or the gift closet, not me. I'm a pretty careful shopper - have to be on one income - but I was before when we were DINKs. I tend to get carried away when I see cute things for Allison, yet I only buy things on sale or at consignment stores. I seldom feel guilty, though I know there are things I could leave on the racks.

I'm STILL guilty and just who is it I think I need to hide them from? LOL! Oh boy . . . Shopping is therapy and that's great that your dress fits! I bet you will look just beautiful! Hey, cross trainers are important for good health - so no guilt trips, ok?

Nah, no sneaking here. When I do shop a lot, I walk in the front door laden with packages like a pack donkey. The stuff in the bags is as likely to be for him or the house as for me. When a QVC bag shows up now, he's usually laughing before I see it. And again, it's as likely to be something for home as for me. He gets more nervous over small square boxes, but those make only rare appearances....

Kat---the key word there is it "FITS" LOL...barely! It's going to give me incentive to eat better and through those DARN holidays that are coming up. Shame...there are events right after the holidays LOL..doesn't give your body a chance to adjust to all those goodies now does it.
