How is your mother-in-law doing Patty? Is she better? Still in the hospital? What is happening?

When I read about her saying that she'd rather eat what she wants and die sooner than restrict her diet, I thought "how ironic it is that we all change our feelings as we get older". I would have never exercised 20 years ago the way I do now, either. What is it in us that changes as we get older? Maybe a little bit of common sense or the desire to be around for our grandchildren and great grandchildren? I don't know.

I sure do hope that she made the change early enough so that she can get through this crisis now. Take care and know that I'm keeping her in my prayers.

MIL is still in the hospital, think she may be for awhile. Today they started dialysis on her. We were very surprised because the other day they were planning on waiting on that. They had planned a stress test for tomorrow but not sure if they will still do that.I'm worrried about that but if they do another test which involves dye it will shut down her kidneys completely. They want to see what happened with her heart, possibly she had a small heart attack. Thanks so much for the prayers.

So sorry to read your MIL is ill, Patty. This is the first I've read of it, but I haven't been able to read thru all of the posts these days. Will keep her and you all in my prayers. Hope she recovers soon.

Patty,

I guess I missed your post regarding your MIL also. I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers. Has anyone else noticed that many of us are beginning to have concerns about our parents or in-laws health and well being? It's nice to know that we are not alone.

Hugs..........Margie :)
