Good morning-

I hope all of you on the east coast fair the rain storms ok without a loss of power. Or, a loss of chickens :-)

This is really going to be a busy week for me so I'm really going to have to be disciplined about getting in the workout. Today, I'll have to get my workout in this afternoon. I was going to wash the car but it's really raining here. That's one task out of the way.

My biggest thing to accomplish this week will be to get reading for the Health Fair on Thursday. It's a biggie annual event.

Today I will split up my routine. I'll do legs and abs this morning on my 1 hour break. I'll get in 45 minutes of cardio (or so) in the afternoon when I get home.

15 minute project will to start some print out information for the health fair.

What are you up to today?

Make your day count!

Love ya all!

Good Morning.

This week is going to be so wild and crazy. My task list from the boss is a mile long. I'm so far behind at work and even farther behind at home. Beginning to rethink this job thing (but don't tell DH...he's been against it from the beginning).

So, I have to get my butt moving and get some things done today.

Am taking a rest day from working out. Right Knee was bothering me before the mountain hike. Still about the same today (although not worse after the hike). I'm listening to the lectures I've been getting and decided to not walk or do legs today. Might get in abs and Upper body later, though.

I'll try to check in later.

Hugs.

Sassy :)

Good Morning Everyone!

I've got my 15 minute project complete! I wanted to catch up on the weekend posts and I've done that. I'm off to do 20 minutes of stretching before getting ready for work. I've been waking up with lower back tightness and the stretching helps a lot.

DD is coming over tonight and we are going to go to water aerobics. I bought a new pair of yoga pants and top this weekend I hope to try out one morning this week.

Hope you all have a great Monday!

Margie :)

Phyllis, I'm in awe that you can train a client and during a break workout.I'd probably come home and crash.I tend to forget that in btw working with others you have to find time for your own workout.Sheesh, that means I have no excuses!!

Looks like Flo and Isabelle are due to hit here at about the same time.Scary!!!I'm nervous about the storm.Probably because every station has a different forecast but they all keep using the term"monster storm".Hopefully it won't take out the corn and soybeans.Trying to decide what I need to do in CL.I have shutters that the wind could tear off so I'm thinking I could tie them down. But if the temps stay up I'll need them untied.

Ok, because Flo is lurking I need to stay on top of workouts and eating. Can't give in when the hormones try to temp me with tasty food.Today will be cardio and weights. Not sure about a 15 min project.Probably my kitchen but that's more than 15 mins!

Good Morning All,

It really is amazing how many excuses can go through one's mind to convince them not to get out of bed in the morning and how many more once you do get up not to crawl back into bed. But somehow I managed to find my alternate pair of sneakers, my shorts etc and put in 45 minutes of cardio.

It is unbearably humid here this morning with the promise of a cold front and lowering temperatures for Tuesday and Wednesday and then looks like Isabelle is headed our way for the end of the week. The last hurricane here was Gloria which came through on September 27, 1985. The date is set in my brain because my youngest was born the next morning along with a whole lot of other woman who apparently were all due in October as I was! The hospital didn't quite know what to do with us all as they had run out of beds on the maternity ward.

No particular 15 minute projects in mind but there always something that comes along!

Hope your Monday Morning Madness brings good things to your day!

Boo Hoo--I'm in a training class all day today and this is my 3 hour Jazzercise day :(.

Oh well---I get to "experience" working again--meaning Eric and I getting up at the same time, coffee not already made for us ha ha, showers about the same time, bathroom use the same time......and I LOVE YOUs quickly as we leave :o).

I worked out yesterday in anticipation of today, so if I don't get to a workout it's ok. If I do, it's a HUGE bonus!

Good morning!

No more excuses. Today I get back to my workouts in earnest. I've slugged around since Thursday, so I will do cardio and LB work - leg press, squats, weighted lifts - and abs, and stretching.

South Beach Diet - Cooking at 4:30 am sounds as barbaric as working out before sunrise, but I'll be able to do a proper breakfast if I have a stash of veggies precooked to add to a frittata; if not, Cheerios and nuts, minus the dried cranberries, is the fallback. I'm amazed that Cheerios has one of the higher glycemic indices among cereals. I think I can do it successfully for lunch and dinner, and for my snacks. It worked well Sunday, and I felt absolutely stuffed - no hunger at all.

Awaiting the concurrent arrivals of Isabel and AF - what a combo! It looks like we'll get a lot of rain, but if the storm tracks the way they're forecasting up here, the winds will be less damaging that elsewhere. I'm trying to keep my sister calm about the storm, but I don't think anything I say is going to help her. She's already got the strong box with all the insurance and house papers ready to grab in case they need to leave in a hurry; the sump pump is in working order, and she'll be all over the town Public Works department this week to make sure the floodgates at the end of her street are working properly. My BIL, meanwhile, is being totally objective and talking about how impressive this storm looks. Impressive, my patoot! I'd like to smack him upside the head.

Sassy and Patty, thinking of you guys as you prepare for Mother Nature's latest show. Be careful..

Have a great Monday, everyone! GO PATS!

Hey, Cussette - Didn't mean to ignore you in the Isabel talk. I hope she's kind to you and your family. How close are you to the coast?

Don't be. When I'm training clients, they are doing the work. Not me :-)

Good morning, a bit sluggish here today. I am always in slow gear after our NJ trips. I should not be I was in bed by 10:00. Well trying to organize this house some. Very muggy and damp out. Kids are in school, hubby is working, and I just finished another cup of tea. Hope the caffine kicks in soon. Well some laundry, make the beds, and walk over to Curves in a little while. Ate way to many Dunkin Munchkins yesterday. Its like a tradition at the track. We stop and buy a huge box, all the other kids stop and grab them, my problem is I grab them too. But while they were all have huge sandwiches for lunch I made myself a salad. Healthy eatting today, back on track. Do I say that every Monday?

They are talking about the storm. We have a generator on our car trailer, so if we lose power we start that thing up. Hubby needs to fill the gas tank and extra can just in case. I need to get some batteries for the flash lights. I have tons of candles, I used to sell Partylite........lol! Lots of left over stock. We have the new BBQ to cook on and there is always PB&J.
