Good morning ladies-

How is all on the east coast? I had read that Isabel was supposed to be moving toward North Carolina and Virginia today.

Chat was really moving last night. We had 6 ladies and lots to talk about. I'm not sure we really clarified what a starchy carb was for Bootywhompus..lol

No workout for me today. I have just 1 client this morning and then I'm packing up my stuff for the health fair. I'll be done by 2 p.m. but I doubt I'll have energy to get in a workout. They really keep me jumping. I really have a lot of making up to do this weekend for the challenge. I'm way behind. Yoga might be a good thing to end the day with. "The Queen" I'm afraid, is beginning to feel like an orphan.

What 3 things are you must thankful for this week?

1. The week is almost over...phew

2. I've enjoyed 2 great Bible studies this week

3. Lots of reflection on being a good steward of what I have been blessed with.

Not what I don't have.

Do you have a 15 minute project?

What's your workout?

Have a great day everyone!

Phyllis

Good morning.A long day ahead waiting for Isabel to get here and then get out.Our worst time will be overnight which I think makes it more nerve racking. The again maybe being able to see it makes it worse.I need to finish getting things done around here. I think I'm going to make time for a run to help relieve some stress.Unsure how to words these thoughts.I'm glad my MIL is in the hospital at this time .I know she is in good hands. My FIL is a major worrier. He is worried about the storm and has also convinced himself he is seriously ill. It's something we've been thru before and I truly feel he is fine.I'm mad at myself for being alittle short on patience. However I'm not sure I have it in me to handle one more issue right now.I'm really struggling with all these emotions right now.Just not being the person I should be.Add to it all the upheaval of hormones right now and well.....

I know others of you are in the storms path and you also have friends and family you worry about. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers as we go thru today.Take care everyone.Love you all.

Hey there, Patty-cakes. Big hugs going your way. Lots of thoughts and prayers, too. I, too, am glad your MIL is in the hospital right now. She'll be safe there. Gives FIL a place to go, too. There are things you can't control (shocking, I know). Try to focus on the things you can control. Be as prepared as you can be. If you can't get a workout in, get some prayer time in or mini-devotional or something to relieve your stress and mind.

Short of procuring 120,000 little dingy's, you can only do so much!

Thinking about you.

Love ya.

Sassy :)

Here's a picture of Jacksonville yesterday: http://www.jacksonville.com/

I have about a dozen 15 min.+ tasks that need to be done today. I made a list, so I don't forget. Aunt Flo decided to show up this month and is making up for passing me by last month. I may lie down a while after I finish this.

I'm thankful:

1. Hurricane Isabel just sent some good surf here and no storm.

2. That I've been able to get involved with some interesting new groups and activities.

3. That I had several days of quality time with family members.

Stay safe and dry up there in the Carolinas and Virginia!!

Patty, you and Sassy stay safe up there. Thankfully, the hurricane has lost some strength and is expected to lose more as it travels over land. It has been downgraded from a 5 to a 2, but that can still cause major damage, and of course, the amount of rain is a major consideration too. Hopefully, it won't stall in your area.

Hope you guys have your windows taped; plenty of food and water in containers, bathtubs, and washing machine in case water is contaminated; pet food and litter; prescriptions filled; gas tanks filled; cash; a manual can opener; and all the other usual storm items that are recommended.

Will say a prayer for safety for you.

Hugs,

Rhonda

Good Morning.

I'm heading out to the office in a few minutes. I have a meeting at 10:00, unless they cancel. Need to get the bulletin all pulled together and copied in case we lose power from Isabel. Want to get things done early and get back home. Kids are out of school today. Federal government closed, but my loony had to go into the bin anyway. He said he wasn't the only one there. No shocker there.

Planning to ease into a workout today. Going to hit the treadmill...easier on the knees. Dr. Phyl suggested some leg work on the weight machine, excluding squats. I'm going to take her suggestion and try that out. Will do some other weight work, too. Isn't it amazing how quickly our bodies become adjusted to working out and how they react when we stop? My body is really hating me these days without a daily workout.

Lots of 15 minute projects to work on today. Will do them after work and after workout.

Thankfuls:

1. I have a warm, sturdy brick house.

2. I have been given so much, I need to share more of what I have.

3. The boss is always so positive and lifts everyone up...it's rubbing off on me.

Love you guys.

Sassy

Thinking of you and saying a prayer for you Patty! Waiting for these kind of things wears anyone's patience and there is only so much you can do to prepare.

Hugs to you,

1. Thankful for convictions in the Word through devotions and Bible studies - I've needed to hear a few things lately. 2. Thankful for healing muscles ;^). 3. Thankful for 14 years with My Man.

Workout? Not sure if I'm going to do one. Yesterday's really kicked me good.

Project today is clean-up for possibly having playgroup tomorrow: vacuuming, cleaning the bathrooms, and maybe doing the kitchen floor.

Good Morning All,

I'm defintely in an exercise slump! Had the alarm set this morning and I promptly turned it off. DH says it's the change of the seasons and this too shall pass. I've really been tired the past week although no real reason-work has been OK actually a little on the boring side,I've been going to bed earlier, home life has been nice and quiet. So it's just gotta be me. Nothing is sparking my interest at the moment. Hoping after work and dinner I'll find something that appeals to me!

Thankful for a good mammogram report

Thankful for peace and harmony at home

Thankful as always for friends and family

Good morning!

I'm feeling a little sleepy today, but I'm not breaking the no-carb rule. It's going well and I don't want to slip back. DH wants to go to our Middle Eastern restaurant tonight; maybe I'll have some lentil soup there and ask them not to put any rice on my dinner plate.

Workout today - Cardio and UB and abs. I've got to pay more attention to my posture both sitting at my desk and walking. I've been slouchy and it's starting to bother my lower back.

Thankfuls: Mainly that I'm out of storm range. If we get anything from it, it'll be about an inch of rain over 36-48 hours and occasional high wind gusts.

Patty, Sassy, and Grace - thoughts are with you and your families today and hoping for the best.

Good luck at health fare, Phyllis; Grace and Lori - you recoveries sound like they're going well - may that continue. Susan and Patty - Hope your FIL and MIL are feeling better and are getting good care.

And have a great day, everyone.

Donna
