In another post you mentioned that the Windsor Tapes were a little to advaced for beginer. I bought the darn package from one of those TV infamercials, and well lets just say. I looked at the first tape, said there is no way I can do this and put them under my bed. Is there a beginer tape you could suggest. Something that I can do in the house once our NY winters kick in. Thanks!

Pilates isn't as easy as it looks to do it correctly. However, if you start at the basic level, you'll be much less frustrated and more likely to keep trying. My favorite video is "The Classical Pilates Complete Mat Series" from www.classicalpilates.net. My other favorite is "The Authentic Pilates (TM) Complete Pilates Mat Workout" available at the store at www.pilates-studio.com (The Original Pilates Studio). They both have beginner, intermediate, and advanced workouts all on one video, so they are a good value and grow with your skill level. They're also both Authentic Pilates (TM), are demonstrated correctly, and explained well. The second one is taught by Romana Kryzanowska who was Joseph Pilates' protege. She is now in her 80's and still teaching in NYC.

Hope this is helpful.

So Rhonda, which of the two would you recommend for a beginner? Nancy

I see you've already answered that question below. I guess I should read all before I post. Nancy

I frequently do that too, particularly when I'm in a hurry. LOL! Both videos have beginner workouts, so either one would be good.

Thankyou Rhonda. I will look at the library first. My youngest sister has one, not sure of the name but she said it is much easier to follow then the Windsor one. I might give hers a try. I appericiate you getting back to me. I am trying so hard to figure this out.
