I guess I'm one of the types that most people would say, isn't and probably won't be a dramatic results kind of story. I started off 3 1/2 weeks ago with a 30% body fat reading, a 27 inch waist, weight 111, ht 5'3"...which seemed okay but it wasn't. My cholesterol was 205.

I started by throwing away all the chips, cookies, candies and snacks in the house. Stopped eating out for lunch and going for a Snickers bar at 4pm everyday, quit going to McDonald's/KFC, and JAck-n-the-Box. I started buying only fish and tofu-based products, fresh vegetables, fruits, cheerios, oatmeal, brownrice and some Dreyers fat-free sugar-free chocolate brownie icecream to satisfy my severe chocolate cravings until I could wean myself off. (Trust me: the Dreyers is THE BEST!!!)

I've been going to the gym 6 days a week for that past 3 weeks. Doing resistance training 3-4 times per week, pi-yo once per week, 20-25 min of cycling or treadmill 5 times per week, jazz/ballet once per week, and west coast swing once per week. SO, I am obviously getting more exercise which is good. What changes have I noticed? Well, I feel healthier and stronger now. No more dragging my ass out of the car after the long commute home every evening: oh no! I stealthfully SPRING OUT! Not to say that I don't get tired. I've had several days when I've ached in the morning and had to force myself to go to the gym before work. (after all...I am 42.) Morning's my only time to work out because my evening time is reserved for my husband and family. Another change: I've lost an inch from my waist and that flab I used to pinch around my pects is gone. What hasn't changed much is my underarm dingle-dangle. My weight is now 107 which is unhealthy but hopefully, that will change as I build more muscle. I have been working with a trainer doing triceps, delt and biceps machines and really pushing it: 3 sets of 15 with 10-20lbs (light)till my arms burn and give out, but my arms are still flabby when they're relaxed and the body fat pinch was the same. I'm not giving up though. It's only been 3 weeks and this has always has been my problem area. My legs I'm not worried about. I dance so I know they're strong. The leg press machine is a cinch and my dh and I compete to see who can do the most weight! LOL. So...that's my story and the moral I discovered is: there's always time no matter how busy you are. See yall in another 3 weeks.

Sorry. I think this was just way too much material for someone to read. Besides, I'm not one of the regulars on this board so I'll shut up now. Thanks for reading.

LOL...you don't have to shutup. We've all posted an ocassional book and it makes no difference if you are a regular or not. Sounds like you are making great progress. Best of luck for continued success!

No, not too much and you don't need to shut up. Some people, and by some people I mean ME, are your height and can't imagine being your weight. My stubby jealous fingers couldn't type an appropriate response. I was amazed at how you have jumped into it and how you changed your diet.Very impressive.Post more often than every 3 wks and make it as long as you want.

Wow! You go! You definitely get an A for effort, and it's great to see that it's paying off. I'll look forward to your next update.
