http://www.biltmoreinns.com/quality_frames.html Click on "Our Hotels" at the top to see the 3 different properties.

What do you think of these 3 hotels? They are withing blocks of the Biltmore Estate and near other attractions. They're also nice and reasonable. The Sleep Inn is the middle of the 3 price-wise. Maybe we could email or call to see about a group rate. I'd think we'd need to tell them at least 6 rooms, but we don't have a count yet. We need to determine how many single rooms and how many shared rooms to get a fairly reliable number, but better too many than too few.

I kind of like the idea of the DoubleTree because it has a fitness room and access to World Gym.

Actually, I liked the Double Tree best myself, but since it was the most expensive (but still reasonable), I thought maybe the medium would go over better. Having just a fitness room would be nice, but we may have enough activities planned that we won't even get the opportunity to use it. A hike would be good, Biltmore, a little sightseeing in shops, eating out, etc.

I don't mind sharing a room.

Wouldn't mind the Doubletree for the fitness room, but the Sleep Inn is ok. Frankly, I can't see myself on a "hike" (not planning on buying shoes or other good gear to have), but I don't mind a brisk walk with a couple of hills thrown in. Biltmore tour is a good thing. I don't mind sharing a room, but non-smokers only (can't assume everyone doesn't smoke just because I don't).

Have a good chat!

They all looked very nice. Although the rate at the Double tree was reasonable I still have to consider that money is a bit tight. But whatever the choice I'll try to do-just have to make these kids leave more money in their pockets for cleanup out of the dryer! And I don't mind sharing a room as long as it's a nonsmoker.

Forgot to mention that I'm a nonsmoker, also. I like your idea of a "hike."

Another non smoker, and non hiker here! I do not mind sharing a room if I go. The hike to be honest is not for my. A walk or a tour is one thing. Lets face it some of us are in better shape then others. I would not be upset the least if a group went hiking and left me poolside with the cabana boys and a pina colada!

I don't care where we stay. I don't even care if we rough it!!And by rough it I mean have to go downstairs for our coffee.I'm just so excited about meeting you all.

Should I pack my steel toed boots or will the glass slippers be enough?????
