Good morning!Phyllis, good luck with your shopping today.Hope you find just what you're looking for.
My workout today will be a run. But I'd also like to get with my sister for a walk. They closed off the track right now bexcause of water so we'd have to walk some where else.We have one place we walk that we call the butt blaster :) Maybe we could head there today.I'll see what her schedules like.
I found out late yesterday they are taking my birds sooner than expected, so I get an extra day off!Yay!!!!Have a great day, everyone!
Petite with a very flat tummy...Yeah, that's me! NOT. Never been petite, but used to have a tummy to die for. You've gotten Rhonda and I confused! Oh well, in heaven I'll have a flat tummy again!
We have 3 soccer games today. One is a make-up game. Oldest DS has yet to play a baseball game and has only had one practice. They were supposed to play today and tomorrow but the other team cancelled for today. Rain is moving in later so I bet they won't play tomorrow either. I feel bad for the kid.
I am going to work out today. Walk on treadmill (easier on the knee which is really hurting this morning), Abs & some upper body. Hoo-rah.
Have a zillion 15 minute projects to work on today.
Woke up way too early for a Saturday morning and feeling a little wierd and can't really explain why. I ventured out for my 4+ mile walk and I did complete it but I think that it was a mistake this morning. I got about half way through and it was like somebody pulled the plug on my energy. I was almost to the point where I was going to sit on a curb somewhere pull out my cell phone and wake somebody up at home to come get me. It was the worst feeling. Came home feeling unrefreshed, slightly nauseated and scratching my head what went wrong. It's very humid here and this is the first morning that I haven't walked with my HR monitor on so maybe I pushed myself too hard the first half and didn't pace myself correctly.
Not sure what the rest of the day is looking like. Laundry is once again piled to the ceiling, there's dog hair everywhere and quite frankly at the moment I really don't care. I know DD mentioned wanting to go check out a sale today and I'm debating about whether I should ignore the housework knowing that I'll never get to it tomorrow and feeling guilty about that or going shopping knowing that I really have no money to spend and feel guilty about that or whether to combine a shopping trip and not spend any money and try to get essentials done this afternoon. Decisions, Decisions! Oh well DS had to leave for work early this morning and he asked me very kindly if I would please please please give him some clean clothes to wear so I think I do need to get that machine agitating!
I'm happy today, even though I have to work all weekend. Beginning Nov., I will reduce my hours at Dillard's. I'm so excited that my boss is willing to do that for me! I had the best time cooking last weekend so I am really looking forward to more time off to be domestic and get more workouts in!
Poor ds' school football teams are so bad this year! Last year our team did great right up thru district playoffs. Terrible to get beat at homecoming! DS' eighth grade team hasn't won a game yet, either.
After work tonight, I plan to get some powerwalking in right before I eat dinner. It won't be much longer before we won't have glorious daylight after 5:30 p.m. I'm ready to set the pumpkins and mums out on the front porch now that fall is really here! I bought a pretty fall wreath which I will embellish with beautiful apples. I've been wearing some fall clothes and can't wait to get the Donna Karan suit back from the alterationist!
Who knew it was this late? Been lazin' around all morning - watched AM Style on QVC and ordered up some Birkenstock clogs. After the way my feet felt this summer in their awesome sandals, I can't bear to put on grown-up shoes Monday through Friday.
For you frustrated shoe buyers, QVC participates in an annual fundraiser supported by FFANY (it's either for breast cancer or AIDS, can't remember which). Various shoe manufacturers (some high-end included) contribute thousands of pairs of shoes to be sold at pretty decent prices. All the hosts get duded up (yup, feathers and sequins, too, for the women) in studio and on the site in NYC. Last year I believe QVC raised over $2M. Too much time to spend in front of the TV looking for navy pumps, but a lot easier than driving from mall to mall and getting more frustrated.
Workout today - just got DH to commit to coming for a powerwalk with me mid-afternoon. 15-minute project won't involve dustmopping and vacuuming - I can't get around the mattresses in the living room - but I'll find something. Tonight we're going to a party that my friend the Fitness Fiend is having - her first at her new house (new for her; her house is an older Cape loaded with New England charm). We're eating dinner out before the party - fish and veggies. That'll help me stay away from the tempting snacks she usually has and stick to the veggie tray. Still going strong into Day 12 of SBD - 8+ lbs vanished!
I'd heard about the shoe thing on QVC. We had a very famous upper end shoe store here in Jax. that donated a ton of designer and vintage shoes either last year or the year before when the owner died. I would enjoy going to the stores more than watching TV, but so far I've been stuck at the computer working on the RWCDF newsletter. Have to get it all to the publisher this weekend if I want to get it to the printer in time.
Congratulations on your success with the SBD. Tim has started back on it as of yesterday, so I need to also. Need to make a trip to the grocery store and stock up on healthy stuff. Keep up the good work!

I'll be rootin' for Danny's football team. As long as he knows to just try to have fun is all that matters....
