It's been a wacky day around here

I've been wacky and there are a lot of wacky people out there in the world and the weather has been wacky-Sun shining one minute and just torrential downpours the next. The day started out on a strange note and that should have forewarned me. DD never mentioned going shopping so I figured it would be better if I stayed away from the stores since that's usually when I find things when I can least afford them. That left me the opportunity to clean up around there and lets just say there wasn't a lot of motivation in that department. I did get to the fruit and vegetable store where I was desperately trying to navigate my shopping cart around a woman who was dragging her cart behind her as she was very intently conducting a conversation on her cell phone of course that's not as good as the woman who almost rammed into DD yesterday as she was cutting coupons as she was driving (you just can't make these things up!). I took Otto for his day of beauty (in other words a bath) and of course it's just gotta rain which leaves him the opportunity to roll around in that nice wet grass! I did eventually get to the housework rather half heartedly I might add and couldn't quite figure out why the vaccum wasn't working until I realized it wasn't plugged in. Then of course I did decide I would play Betty Crocker this evening on such a lovely warm and humid day and put in a nice roast beef since everyone really likes that and DD never got her birthday dinner last weekend and now my kitchen is unbearably hot and she's not going to be home for dinner!
So I think I'll be calling it a day soon, hopefully the roast will not burn, the washing machine and dryer won't self destruct and maybe an after dinner walk with Otto barring any more downpours will put my brain back in proper working order!

Hope your day quiets down and you have a peaceful evening.Tell Otto not to ruin the beauty thing by rolling around in the wet grass!!

I swear East Walpole is the golden retriever capital of the Northeast. Except for one little ankle-biter, I can't believe how many were out for their daily constitutionals while we were. One friendlier than the next. One of them cracked me up - she just sauntered up to us and stopped like she expected to be cooed over and petted. Which she was....
Hope your kitchen cools off. Just think. IF no one shows tonight, dinner for tomorrow is ready to go...
