I'm going to do Pilates today. Still feel horrible, but this should be the last day of that, I hope. My week ought to be easier on me - have 3 nights off! Last week I worked my b*** off at both jobs and even did some public relations for the Realtors Assoc. on my own time at a cocktail party. That was fun and I'll have to go to those kind of things more often.

Have a nice Monday!

Good morning Workout Goddesses.

It is a beautiful, brisk Fall morning in Northern Virginia and I can't wait to get out and get my day started with a good power walk. DH decided he would be more productive by working from home today. He and I are walking the youngest to school and heading to the lake and back for a walk. I'll come back and hit the Smith weight machine for some upper body buffing...probably chest, shoulders and back.

Tons and tons of things to do today. I'm thinking I can be more productive by not going into the office today also. Or at least waiting until later this afternoon to go in for a bit.

Laundry is on the agenda for the day. Cleaning...always on the list.

Love you girls.

Sassy

Good morning!Short night here last night, another hot date with DH in CL.Today 2 of my houses go out so I only have half my usual workload for the next couple days. Then I have some time off.The weathermen are all crazy because we're going to have Oct temps in Sept.Isn't Sept 29th pretty close to Oct????

I read a fitness magazine last night.First of all it made me hungry for all the things it said I shouldn't have.~~~Sigh~~~I'm getting the exercise part down but need major work on the food. Then I read some articles on workouts which only confused me more. One said I should always work out first thing on an empty stomach.Another said I should do intervals. Another said I should do fast short workouts as opposed to longer moderate ones.I think I should stop reading about it all and just do it.

Workout for today will be a run and weights.I've set a goal to be back in some jeans, my Dockers and some other clothes by my birthday.

Hope everyone has a great day!!

Good Morning Ladies,

I find it hard to believe that it is once again Monday morning. These weekends just fly by!

It promises to be a very fall like week and I'm looking forward to that. Up and at it with weights and abs this morning. I have dinner in the fridge ready for DD to pop into the oven this afternoon as it will be get in the house, eat dinner and then out the door with DH to meet with his family and the attorney to find out what they need to do to sort out their financial affairs as I think FIL will be remaining in nursing home care. Both bosses will be out of the office today so that will either make the day real quiet or a madhouse with neither of them in. Hope to get a good stretch or some yoga in by day's end.

Hope everyone has a magnificent Monday!

Magnificent monday it is! I go back to the doc for my post-op check up and if all goes well I can go back to work tomorrow....THANK GOODNESS!!! Boredom has overtaken me. I actually helped work on cleaning up the garage yesterday even though it wasn't my mess to begin with. I'm losing it.

My workout is done for the day. Since the bears woke me up at 4:30am and I was wide awake, I decided to try out the early, early morning Jazz class and had a blast. My favorite instructor, it turns out, teaches that session on M-W-F every week so I might have to give this a try. I'm not much of a morning person but it sure is nice to have that done so early in the morning.

15-minute project today is to gear back up to be a working woman again. Although, I fear I may find a huge pile on my desk. Tomorrow is 4 weeks since I've been there. Wish me luck.

Wow, it's hard to believe it's been 4 weeks already! Enjoy getting out and about again. Glad to hear you're well enough to be able to go back to work.

It was 93 and sunny yesterday, but it is overcast this morning. Haven't checked the temperature yet. We got a hard rain last night, so it's probably muggy. Rob said the surf yesterday was some of the best he's seen all summer. Poor Tim was at work and missed it.

I just got the newsletter layout to proof. Dan does such a fantastic job!! I asked for two minor changes. Once those are done, he can burn a disk, and I can go have it printed. Hopefully, I can get them back by Wednesday, then I just have to get address labels and stamps on them, fold and tape each, and they'll be ready for mailing. I have to get them to members before we do our tour and lunch aboard the renovated USS Kennedy on 10/7. That should be exciting! There will be a lot of walking and ladder climbing involved.

This weekend I took a lot of time to update email addresses for myself and for the club's list and to enter lots of phone numbers in my cell phone memory. It never fails that I get in the car and need to call someone whose number I can't remember. I have covered just about everyone I can think of including the school and some businesses, so I should be in good shape there now. It also allowed me to get rid of little scraps of paper and notes to myself lying around, so I'm making some headway with clutter. Still have a long way to go there.

I'll get in some walking today and some shrub trimming I didn't get to do yesterday, because I wound up spending more time running errands than planned.

Have a wonderful Monday!

Rhonda

Good morning, everyone!

A beautiful day here - fallish, no muggies, no clouds. My kind of day.

Workout will be full - tonight is my only night getting home from work early this week, so I'm going to work out hard while I can, and split things up the rest of the week.

My mom's birthday celebration Sunday was really a nice day, pouring rain and all. The kids were terrific, the chicken marsala and eggplant parmigiana were yummy, and the veggie platter held my interest and kept me from diving into the baked ziti. It did NOT save me from the chocolate cake (and it was definitely NOT a surgical slice), but it didn't do too much damage on the scale this morning. I was supposed to start Phase II of SBD today, but I'm going to stay on Phase I for a couple more days until I get past the cake and get my refrigerator and cabinets stocked with the stuff I'll need.

Lori - welcome back to the working world, and I hope you can at least see over the pile that'll be on your desk when you return. Susan - hope the day without the bosses goes calmly for you; you sure deserve an easy time somewhere for a little while. Kat - enjoy your days off, your "Kat" time, and your activities with Danny; what a mom you are!

Have a great day, everyone...
