Hump Day Afternoon Check In

So what is working out GREAT for you today??? Sipping green tea? Sticking to the SB plan? Oatmeal in the morning? I'm hungry of course!

Started this morning with back to back meetings from 730 am, got a LOT accomplished. I'm going to call "upscale" living facilities in the area to speak with their activity directors and have our wearable art show and sale (jewelry too) as an activity. Last year they brought a busload of ladies in and they bought and enjoyed the show a lot. So...taking that one step further :o). I have five places in mind.

Made it five min late to two hours of classes this morning. Today was the first day bringing our big balls to class. We can't leave them there since it's a community center, so when leaving, I was going to make two trips to the car. Take my big ball back out and my mat, then come back for my Jazzercise bag and dishes from the pot luck yesterday.

Got home and realized I didn't have my Jazzercise bag or the dishes grrr... dingbat city. Got to talking when I was leaving and pulled out and forgot my 2nd load. Left it right out in front of the place. It's a big huge bag on wheels, and the pot luck dishes are actually my friends, so I hope the last person who left carted them back in for me :o). I'll be there tonight hoping!

Got my order from Blue Fly...the gorgeon periwinkle silk gown was too big...yippee!!! I got a 10 because that's what the bust said would fit me...but I was swimming in it. ALSO it was way too low in the back--8 would've been much better but the dress was just too revealing. Now the other dresses were gorgeous. One is stretch velvet with a black lace top (see through in the back, lined with beige silk in the front), and an olive green fun romantic dress. I have places to wear both soon so I'm excited.

I'm going to devote the next few hours to cleaning my house. I'm way behind on my Heart Ball follow up but my house calls my name "DEBRA CLEAN ME". Went to my friend's home yesterday, one hubby, 4 kids, and it was spotless!! She doesn't have all the piles of papers I do around. Gave me hope.

Class again tonight for an hour....and that's about it. It's 120...and I haven't had a thing to eat except for a non fat latte!!! It's true, when you're busy you don't eat :o).

OH I ATE LOL!!!!!!! (darn halloween candy..grumble).

The black stretch velvet dress makes me feel feminine and curvy (the good curvy) so FOR sure it will be perfect for our 10 year anniversary in January---the one to SF and the opera. I want to look good for my fella! And...backtracking from that there are a few holiday parties I know that it might work for. A brand called "MICA" on blue fly fits me great. Generous in the hips cough cough..and fits the bust just right. The other olive green one I may wear to a wedding this weekend, and either of those I might wear to my dad's 80th. My MOTHER will surely tell us girls what we are to wear :o). She usually tells us...no black!

Yes, I really want to be thinking about what you said..the holidays. The parties, working out feeling good about myself going to them. I had a few years of holiday dread, not fitting into anything pretty. I need to remember that time!

So..Patty...is Wednes your house cleaning day? Do you set a day for it, do others here do that? I just hit and miss. My friend who had the lunch yesterday, said she devotes one day a week to it. Maybe that's my problem LOL.

Where are you and your twin going?

AND-------------> do people call you the TWINS?

Yes, lol, 42 yrs old and we are still refered to as the twins!!We're going to Winchester for lunch and shopping. With each sister shopping is different. With this sister we tend to look at housware things more. She is really talented with decorating and we look at things like that.Spend time in Pier One and places like that. With my other sister we look at clothes more.Always fun with either one.

No, no set day for housework here.Just when the mood strikes me and that isn't often enough.

I'm getting so excited thinking about the holidays.I'm also thinking about all the food that comes with them.I'm trying to increase my exercise so I can be ready.Hopefully strike a good balance where I'm active enough to enjoy the food I love, in moderate amounts.

Doesn't Winchester have at least one furniture factory there, plus it's apple country, isn't it? One of these days when I'm up that way I'm going to make it over there. Have fun!!

Once it gets cooler, I'll break out the white tea again. I'm not much on hot drinks unless it's chilly out.

So, tell us where to see the dresses you got. Since I almost never buy anything dressy, I love to see the things you get. I tried to find some navy shoes on Bluefly, but no luck. They do have tons of boots though, which I don't need. I saw some pretty dresses, but had to run out the door before I got to look at other stuff.

My house is calling for me to clean it too, but other things keep shouting it down. Oh, well, one of these days the mood will hit, and I'll get caught up.

Bluefly.com...if they have the dress in any size, it's still there and I can email, once they sell the last of that item..poof it's gone. I'll take digitals and send! The stretch velvet makes me feel pretty! It's very classic but sexy too.

What a busy day for you, Deb! Hope your Jazzercise bag & dishes were safely waiting where you left them. Your dresses sound so gorgeous - yes, do post pictures! Did I miss your recipe for your crustless quiche - of course I want it, even if it's not low-fat. I'm sure it's great as I know you have to be an excellent cook.

I got my 1 hour of powerwalking in, 1 hour of powershopping at Target and Albertsons (got enough groceries to feed ds for a week!), and am getting ready to do some reading. I was good on the eating until I bought those Ruffles Reduced Fat Sea Salt Potato Chips - yummy! Okay, I had more than one! Hope ds likes nachos, tacos, chili and shrimp fettuccini because those are on my menus for the week. I know, fattening, fattening! I did buy reduced fat cheeses, chips, and sour cream, though! I also bought reduced fat biscuits and reduced fat sausage for his sausage and biscuits. I'll try to be good and just "taste" everything. I'll have to make lots of green veggies & serve some fruits too!
