Today really should be "sumptuous," because at last it's my spa day! I'm meeting my sister there at 8:50. I went to bed later than I should, but I get to lie around most of the day, so it's not a problem. All I can say is aaaaaahhhhh...

I think being a personal trainer would be very hard. I can't imagine having to be energetic and motivating all the time, particularly to many people who are probably not energetic and possibly pretty negative. Seems it would extremely tiring mentally, if not physically. I could use a personal trainer to get me going. I have a friend who's husband is a personal trainer, left an accounting type job to become one, and he is just naturally so energetic and motivating. I've often thought it takes that kind of person to be one. I don't think it can just be someone who personally likes to exercise. It reminds me of being a psychiatrist and cheerleader all in one. Anyway, it's great that you love it and you can do what you love.

Have a happy Saturday everybody!

I'm trying to get revvvved up too.I have no excuse to not workout today except laziness.I'm going to either hit the treadmil or track. On the couch with a blankie sounds nice too.

Constantly giving your energy and motivation to others would be hard. How do you make sure any is left for you?

Rhonda, enjoy your spa day. Sounds wonderful!

Hope you all enjoy your day!

Happy Saturday, everyone!

Sunny this morning - makes you think the weather-people are nuts to be predicting rain later on.

Ready to head for apple country in central MA in about a 1/2 hour. Workout today will be UB - stretching and reaching into the trees, and over-head pre-schooler and 1st-grader lifts to get them up to branch-scrambling height.

Ate a healthy breakfast so I won't be tempted by anything at Dunkin Donuts on the way out other than a big steaming cup 'o joe; going to pack some snacks so I won't be tempted by the goodies at the farm stand store - let's all chant apple pie, apple crisp, apple bread.....

15-minute project - stretch it into a day full of FUN!

Have a great one, everbody!

Good morning, just dragged this old body out of bed. Robbie left early this morning to head over to PA for a camping weekend. Billy left last night with his girlfriend, they are camping (in tents) out east. But should be home later tonight. Bill is out early, banking, shop work, and odds and ends. He actually has a motor project to take care of, so he will be busy all weekend. Katie and I are going to have my mom drop us off at the ferry and we are going to Conn. to visit a friend. We are going apple picking too, some pumpkin patch stuff, and a hay ride. Weather permitting of coarse. Tonight we are looking at taking the our girls to the movie. So for me the nest 48 hours will be relaxing with a friend. I have some house work this morning and I hopoe to do my 2 mile walk. Other then that I plan on taking a chill pill and having fun.

Everyone's weekend plans sound so fun! Yes, Phyllis, laying on the couch with Anthony Robbins' tape sounds wonderful. I need to order one of his tapes. Patty, have a nice weekend & hope you don't have to do alot of work around CL. I hope you have a fabulous day at the spa, Rhonda. As for the apple pickers for today, I'm jealous! Donna, have a great time with your niece and nephew! Sounds so much fun and I bet the scenery will be fabulous with the colors of fall. Deb, your weekend sounds so wonderful - you definitely need some R&R! Have lots of fun picking apples & out at the pumpkin patch.

I have to take ds to the doctor this a.m. for x-rays. Football clinic is open on Saturdays. Then he wants to go paintball shooting with friends. I have a birthday party at 4:30. Somewhere in there I need to do a workout - probably just weights but hopefully cardio too as the weather will be ok today. Rain forecasted tomorrow. I need to go to Sunday School tomorrow a.m. and then clean, clean, clean. What really needs to happen is to go thru all my filing & throw out some stuff.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Good Morning Everyone,

Just reading what everybody's plans are for the weekend. Some really fun sounding events and a nap with a blankie sounds inviting too. I guess I'll just have to live vicarously through everyone else. I'm just looking at one big mess that I need to get under contol. I've been grumpy & very snappish at everyone this morning and little things are setting me off real fast with a heachachy tired feeling so I think it's a good thing DS is at work, DD is usually pretty scarce on Saturday, DH will be heading over to the football field this afternoon to watch the homecoming game and other DD is in MA for the weekend. So maybe I'll get myself collected and enjoy the quiet this afternoon. I would like the thought of getting out my fall dodads but then again that would mean battling the overloaded closet where I live in fear of hurting myself trying to get something out of it and I'm not sure I have the patience for that this morning.

Took a long walk this morning and it started out as a beautiful day but the wind has picked up and it's gray and very gloomy looking at the moment.

Hope everyone has a Simply Sumptuous Saturday!

Good morning all! It’s a beautiful Fall day here in the capital city of North Carolina. In fact, I’m wearing shorts and a medium-thick sweatshirt. I can hear the Canadian Geese flying overhead from my home office window. Everyone sounds like they are off to a wonderful Saturday. I love naps on the couch with a snugly blanket and unfortunately, my two cats do too! Between them, I nap with 16 pounds on top of me. Today, while dh is at the annual beer feast with his buddies, I plan to pick up groceries, do a little shopping at Steinmart (like a Nordstrom’s Outlet), workout on the elliptical machine and finish a good book.

Have a wonderful Saturday!

Etymology: Middle English, from Middle French sumptueux, from Latin sumptuosus, from sumptus

Date: 15th century

: extremely costly, rich, luxurious, or magnificent ; also : MAGNIFICENT 4

- sump·tu·ous·ly adverb

- sump·tu·ous·ness noun

Sounds good to me!!!

Have to work today, on my anniversary boo hoo, but I can use the money. My little trip to the hospital put a serious dent in the finances in spite of the insurance. Might have to give up Jazzercise for a while until the ends start meeting a little easier again. NOT happy about that.

For today, I plan to catch a Jazz class after I get done at work and then go home and fix a nice dinner with DH. Probably watch 'our' movie (Muppet Treasure Island) later this evening. Ok, so it's not a great romantic movie. Neither one of us is really into love story kind of movies and it's a hoot.

Nothing else planned for today. Tomorrow is another story though...

Have a goo weekend everyone!

SteinMart is based here in Jax. My daughter's first PR job out of college was in their special events/PR dept. where she got to help plan openings of new stores, press releases, etc., and she got a 20% discount on everything. I went by one today still looking for navy heels, but no luck. I did see a lot of cute clothes though, and I love their decorative home accessories.
