Morning. A little slow today. Had a fun and busy weekend. Went to Conn to visit an online friend. Her dd and mine have become great friends just like her mom and I. She picked us up at the Ferry, we relaxed at her home for a while, had Chineese food for dinner and then took the girls to see School of Rock. It was alright. Yesterday we went pumpkin and apple picking. Stopped at a few stores, and then let the girls paint their pumkins. We got to chat and sip some tea, and eat a few cider donuts. Hey it was girl time! Home on the 6:00 Ferry, where Bill picked us up and took us to dinner. Home and on the couch for some cuddle time and into bed about 10. You would think I should have bounced out of bed early..........not! Got up at 8:30, have some laundry cooking, and just finished my tea. Going to get dressed and head to Curves in a little while. Pick up my moms car and head home for homework and bill paying. Back to school tomorrow and a test with that. Well hope you all have a great day.

I "picked" apples out of the 1/2 bushel my sister's family picked! Just a few to eat out of hand. I'm slowly adding fruit back into my eating, concentrating on whole grains right now; apples are probably the most harmless of the fruits to eat, and since I'm a Granny Smith fan, I presume that'll give me a smaller amount of sugar to deal with than other varieties. Apple "goodies" might happen later in the month after we make a second run out to apple country on a sunny day. My DH is a big fan of apple crisp; I'll have to make that when we're going somewhere to bring along and just leave a little home for him.

Phyllis,

It’s always so great to read such a positive posting from you even on Monday and sometimes even before a cup of coffee! Just want you to know I appreciate it!

Not sure what my workout is going to be just yet but it will be at least an hour. I am taking an Anatomy & Physiology class so a majority of my time will be spent doing homework. I find it very interesting but also difficult to really learn. Eventually, I will be going on to take other classes to prepare me for professional certification to do medical insurance coding and billing.

Happy Monday All!

Good morning!

It's cool in our neck of the woods and we are expecting some long awaited rain this week. Looking forward to it.

My exercise in the last few weeks has consisted of walking. I really need to get some weights back into the mix.

This weekend is a write off food wise. We have company from out of town and a birthday to contend with, so I will wait until tomorrow or the next day to get myself sorted out. I really want to go back on South Beach for a couple of weeks and I think I will have company. Dh was complaining that his pants are too tight and he needs to lose weight or buy new ones. Couple that, with the fact that when we were out for dinner last night, a comment was made by a less than tactful person that he had gained and I had lost weight!

We are finally settling into the routine of "school" and hopefully, I'll get back more exercise back into my day.

I can't believe how sore my calves and psoas muscles are today from the walking yesterday. I didn't walk as much as I have at times previously, but for some reason I'm really feeling it. Maybe because I kept my rubber sandals on... I used to walk barefoot thinking it would exfoliate my feet, but the young woman at the spa who did my pedicure said that it does just the opposite. It actually roughs them up. I can vouch for that! She did a fantastic job though (I told her I should have brought a power sander to help her out)!

Just brought Rob home from school. He called feeling kind of sick with a headache. Tim was sick to his stomach and under the weather Sat. and Sun. Hope it's not a bug that will literally run through the whole family. So far, at least Rob's stomach isn't bothering him.

It's a little cooler here today (80), but very pleasant with low humidity. My afternoon project will be to work on the front large flower bed and some of the shrubs. The rest of the week I've got stuff planned, so this will be the best chance. Tomorrow, little Winston loses the family jewels, and none too soon! He would have gone today if he hadn't eaten and had some water. Suddenly, the last 3 days he has been so h*orny!! He is driving Katie nuts, and I'm just waiting for her to turn around and smack him! I cooled his jets a little by spraying flea spray around her backside, but now he looks forlorn. We will all be happier when it's over (although he might disagree). ;-)

Playing catch up here ~

Great Monday here! It was a beautiful fall day, so I took a nice walk at lunch, then got in 30 minutes on the MFH and yoga class after work, then another nice walk after yoga and before going home for a nice dinner of minestrone. Yummy.

Does anybody believe that sometimes God sets a person or situation right in front of you so that you have to do something about them/it? That sometimes he puts a person into your life for a reason, or allows a situation to force you to step back and re-evaluate something in your life? Just wondering.....That is why the little "Confused" icon.

Yesterday was a deep thought day for me too. I agree about things God sometimes does. Hope it has a positive outcome.
