holiday season!!!

Saw the post below about Christmas talk---I do intend to decorate for fall---skipping Halloween but going right on to Thanksgiving Decor (we're on vacation that week of Halloween, house sitters really don't need to be here with all my Halloween stuff)...and my BIRTHDAY is right around Thanksgiving..so that's cause for celebration and decor!

BUT...for xmas..I'm hoping I can get away again with...

NO DECORATIONS ;o). It was so easy so stress free so fabulous last year I whistled through the season and enjoyed going out more and other people's parties and all the other related xmas stuff. PLUS we didn't have 28 boxes of stuff to put away at Valentines Day this year...it always takes us at least a month to put it away. I'm co-hosting a Christmas party just for our lady friends at my friend's house across the street. She does a beautiful xmas set up so that's one party I'll have direct involvement with.

So---ladies...when the time comes, feel free to share all your holiday decorating with me, just so I feel like I'm living it with you :o).

I did try to pin Eric's boss down on the staff party, we usually get just a few weeks notice and I already have other things on my calendar for December :o)..ha!

Debra Thoroughly Simplified and Really Not a BAH humbugger!!!

Deb!!!Don't you love quiet nights at home with the tree lights on?Or don't you love to spend a day at home with Christmas music going and the tree there.I drive Rick crazy asking when can we get our tree.I love having it up before Christmas though usually after Christmas I'm done with it. But I do keep things fairly simple and it only takes me alittle while to put things away.I think you should at least get one of those great candy Christmas trees!!They are very easy to put away LOL

Yes to those November birthdays!!I think I may be off from CL for mine.

Yes---but we always did two full 7ft trees, and the stuff is all mixed up I'm not kidding, it's about 28 boxes (those huge rubbermaid boxes!) of decorations and it's really overwhelming. The worst part for us is our inability to undecorate..and then I hate seeing the stuff night after night. I know a lot of women out there do not get help from their hubby's in the putting up and taking down of the stuff so I shouldn't complain :o).

I still play all my Christmas cd's and start doing that mid-Novemer...just to the light of the fire. Last night we were looking through a country living magazine, and Eric mentioned how he can't wait to decorate for xmas...I groaned...arghhhharghhh.

I think a candy xmas tree is perfect ...great idea! LOL

Okay, this sounds funky, but hire someone to do it for you! Hire someone to come in and organize all of your Christmas decorations. Hire someone to come in after Christmas and take down the tree and put everything away. I'm serious! I would LOVE to do that...hmmmmm. Has me thinking now!

We go get our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving every year. Does that mean it gets decorated right away? Heck no! Usually stands there naked as a jaybird for at least a week or so. But we have it in the house. I actually like to look at it/smell it for awhile without any decorations (or at least that's my story and I'm stickin' to it!).
