the CA recall election today? It's turned really ugly. The Hitler accusations have turned out to be totally false (although there are records of Clinton saying that he admired him), and some of the women's accusations have too, but I'm not sure enough people have heard about it to make a difference. The damage may have been done. Sure wish that other Republican guy would have withdrawn. He has no chance of winning and can only hand the election back to the incompetent incumbent if people vote for him. Some wild things are starting to come out about Gray Davis now too. Should be a real circus!

I'm so tired of it, even though the Libertarians were one of the driving forces behind it all. It just goes to show that political strategy MUST include mud-slinging, even though it is absolutely false. Heck, the first vote is whether or not there should be a recall, not electing Gray's successor. I know we have some California ladies here and it's not meant to hurt anybody's feelings, but I have to share a comment that I heard the other day, that California is ungovernable. The state is strangled in a lot of laws that are working against one another.

I'd forgotten that Clinton had something positive to say about Hitler, and the media seemed okay with that.
