Thankful Thursday Two Thumbs Up!

Okay. So I had the most awesome cardio workout this morning! I was in tune with my body, pushing myself but not huffing and puffing. My legs are tired, knee is a bit swollen but I'm going to ice it. It doesn't hurt like it was hurting before. It is definitely on the mend. I also had a great discussion with Him and we worked some things out :)

I know it was a good workout because after my shower while I was sitting at my vanity putting on some make-up (not that I NEED it, of course ;) I was still sweating, including my shins (always a sign I had a great workout).

So, post your thumbs up here on your workout and one other thing...

Tell us something about your BODY that you like. Not your clothes, your attitude, your personality, your makeup...strip yourself naked (those of you at work...only mentally strip yourselves please) and tell us one thing you like about your body and be specific. NOTHING NEGATIVE.

Here's mine...

My hair is just awesome during this type of weather. When there is no humidiy, my hair is thick, naturally wavy and does EXACTLY what I want it to do.

Hugs!

Sassy :)

No, you're not that odd. I'd rather have the muscle too. Good thing since I don't seem to have a choice in the matter. I'm either flabby and gross or muscular (buff is the word a friend at Jazzercise used the other day).

Now, if I could just get the fat on top of the muscle to go away. Ah well.

Lori--glad you agree. I am just not after a "thin" look. It doesn't turn me on if that's the saying. :o) Just knowing that your fitness has brought on the muscles and tone is mindblowing to me. Having been thin (the wrong way) and having had no tone muscles etc...just "thin" for the sake of thin, this is much much better.

I have the tummy fat that won't go away...but I'm working on appreciating the rest of my body and how it works. Do you think that way too??? Deb

I used to be a cross between a dancer and an athlete, and I want my old body back! Unfortunately, I've been too lazy lately to do anything about it other than wish and whine. I know it's not going to happen that way.

I'm certainly trying to think that way. About 10 years ago, I was thin...too thin and it wasn't healthy. I was 130# and I'm 5'10" with a large frame. Certainly not anywhere near that now...LoL.

Nope at this age, I'm happy that nearly everything works right and I'm strong and healthy. Besides, I figure there are enough of those skinny minnies out there and without us beefy gals around, they wouldn't be "all that" now would they? Everyone is beautiful in their own way and physical beauty is only part of it. But sacrificing health for thinness doesn't seem like a fair trade. It would be nice if we could have it all, but I'm good with being healthy. And I like the muscles too.

Great philosophy, huh? Now if I could just convince myself it's true on a full-time basis. But I'm getting better and I'm reading and re-reading Dr. Phil's book. He makes so much sense. I'm not sure that I will lose any weight, but I will certainly understand why the weight isn't coming off. Today, I am satisfied that my clothes are not too tight.
