I've reached my weight goal - I'm at 58 KG - (127 pounds). AND I deadlifted 50KG (110 pounds) yesterday. Hooray! And today I rode 22 kilometers on my new bicycle.

BTW - hi ladies. Nice to see ya'll again... It's *very* busy hereabouts right now...

How long did it take to reach my goal weight... hmmmm.

I had to go back to Fitday and check for my firstjournal entry this year... It was January 14. In May 2002, I had reached 128pounds... Then last summer, life went to he'' and I stopped working out and stopped tracking my eating, but kept up some reasonable level of portion control... I let myself get up as far as 141. In January, I started working out again and tracking my eating. I've been taking it slow and easy since then, particularly since I moved to another continent in May and had to learn a whole new cuisine. (I moved from Minnesota to Italy.) We spent a lot of time this summer travelling too, so that made it harder to track food intake especially in some countries with very rich, fatty, heavy cuisines...

In mid-July, we finally got back from travelling, and bought bicycles. I bicycled, walked a fair bit, and started doing weight training again. Last month I joined a local gym and upped my weight training from what I could do at home.

And I'm seeing results. Alex is too - he commented on it today. He said that other people have mentioned it to him too. He told me that he had agreed to buy a bicycle cuz it would be good for transportation and the weight bench cuz it seemed to be good for my morale. But he didn't see how it could make me look any better than I already did... And that now he's amazed at how I do look even better (well, "even sexier" was the phrasing he actually used...)

Note - he *is* Italian, but gee. I mean, how many guys would be able to say something like that so well - without implying that I was fat and out of shape... He's been quite encouraging all along without being pushy. Things like asking what time I'm working out so that stuph we're scheduling won't interfere too often with that... It does really help to have someone who's really wanting me to succeed.

Anyways - my current goals have to do with building strength and muscle definition... ;-)

I wanna get to deadlifting 1.5x bodyweight, squatting 1xbodyweight and benchpressing at least .75 bodyweight...
