It's certainly not sunny here. It's rainy and windy and fits the present atmosphere of our household this morning. Without getting into any details our son got himself into a very serious situation last night that has left my husband and myself more than a bit furious and shaking our heads as to why. With that said I think it's going to be a very quiet day around here.

Good morning! I was out in CL really early today. Getting my work done so I can go to the Heritage Festival with Mom and sisters.Almost backed out because I feel like I've barely seen DH this week. And DS has worked 7 days this week so haven't seen much of him either.Tomorrow they are both home so that will be nice.I really need to get a workout in, haven't done one since Wednesday.Maybe I'll just think of this time as recharging :)

Have a goo day!

Hugs, Susan! I have to remember that even the best kids sometimes get themselves into serious situations (my ds will get into some I'm sure!). I hope your ds comes out of this ok and learns from it. Also hope things settle down soon for you all.

Hugs,

Kat

Those OU guys are just TOO good! I knew not to watch that game and be disappointed.

I woke up late. Oh well . . . Have to work again today. Joy, joy! May get out for some powerwalking afterwards on my favorite trail.

Have a blessed Sunday. I'm heading to the TV to watch worship since there's no time to get to SS.

Sundays I enjoy having a cup of coffee and reading the newspaper – especially the Travel section and Comics. Took a 2-mile walk around the lake this morning with my dh. It seems like every time we go there, the leaves turn richer shades of autumn: red, gold, and brown. It’s on the warmer side today. Going to reach about 75 but wish it were in the 60’s since I recently bought a pair of boots. Today I plan to make the lunches for the week, do some reading, and hopefully take a nice afternoon nap. ;^)

Hope your Sunday is Superb!

Have to share something--awhile ago I posted about an event I was doing and the lack of RSVP etiquette I was seeing. I have to take those words back! Maybe it's just a lost art. Lost with our parents' generation? I've been working on a big surprise party for my Dad's 80th birthday to be held in California in a few weeks. 50 invites, and I'm happy to say I've heard from almost everyone. They've phoned me (long distance), emailed, even received some wonderful cards in the mail saying they're looking forward to the party. I'm saving all of them :o). I made each invitation by hand so a lot of love is going into this-and it touched my heart when the people (ok the ladies LOL) commented on the pretty invites. Mom still hasn't seen them and she's curious :o).

I just finished putting five small picture collages together of pics from dad's birth to present with the grand kids. I did them on Picture It! and sent them off to ofoto.com to be printed as 8x10 pictures. I think I'm going to foam mount them with little easels and set them around the cake table. I did one more of a collection of his smiling face (in his WW2 uniform, wedding, holding Erin's new baby, etc) that I put on an 8x10. I think I'm going to have those copied in color to hard stock and then fancy up the edges and set them out as placemats at the party. Always need a conversation piece. Now if I receive these 8x10 in the mail and they didn't turn out well--I'm on to doing something else :o) and will be open to suggestions.

We have house sitters arriving this week when we go on vacation, so I have to uhhhh CLEAN! It was too much $$$ for me to go to Vegas with Eric tomorrow, so he's going without me boo hoo. He has a client lunch, and now a dinner so I would've been on my own there for a very long time. He's just flying there just for the day. I had let my imagine go wild though thinking about sitting around a sunny pool this weekend in Vegas. With our luck it would've been raining.

Speaking of rain---it's been pouring here non-stop!

I plan to pull out Kari Anderson's ANgles Lines and Curves today for some nice balletpilatesstretchy stuff.

You have some great ideas...not being the creative type, I have no suggestions.

"Sunny Sunday"? Where? Cloudy, rainy, and cold here. Good day to stay in and watch football.

Workout will be cardio and full weights right after the game. Then another quick run to the store to get egg substitute for my weekly giganto frittata - there's a harvest of veggies in my fridge, so this week's breakfasts and lunches will be yummy and healthy. Found my favorite whole-grain/low-carb bread on sale for $1.99 a loaf yesterday morning - two loaves are in the freezer, since DH has discovered he likes it, too.

If I'm going to clean the bathroom before the game, gotta go do it now.

Have a snuggly day, everyone!

Donna
