Fun shopping trip...

DD grabbed me by the arm yesterday and told me that we needed to go shopping. She didn't want to see me sitting around the house in the mood I was in. I truly thought it wouldn't be a successful trip considering my frame of mind. But maybe shopping was a good vent. I came home with 3 new pairs of pants including new black coudoroys, plum, gray knit pants and I was pleasantly surprised that the medium were to big and the small were just right! A red boat neck sweater and a shimmery looking lavendar blouse and a pink and plum striped shirt and everything goes with everything! And remembering oldest DD's words of wisdom ringing in my ears that you always need accessories-2 new cute necklaces and 2 pairs of earrings. I found a great pair of black shoes and a pair of the softest brown leather ankle boots for 40% off. Almost everything was on sale and I had a coupon for the clothes store. L'oreal was having a great 5 minute consultation on hair and makeup but the waiting list was so long we didn't have the patience to wait. We're just sorry that we didn't find them when we first got to the mall.

I was glad she dragged me out. We had a great talk while we shopped and she was a tremendous help in my venting about DS. And I came home with lots of bags!

Wow - what a success! Great shopping, a nice day with your daughter, and an ear for your concerns about your son. Turned out to be a good day after all.

I hope the situation with your son improves.

Susan sounds like a great day. First was the hair and nails, and then shoping, WOW! It is so nice to hear that you have such a great relationship with your dd. I hope Katie and I will be like that someday.
