Either I'm an exceptional cook or someone was out of cash, because some cheesy crumb-bum in my office stole my lunch today! I decided to go out for a nice lunch at the local McCormick & Schmick's (fish), and said "cool, I can eat what I brought today tomorrow". Well, never mind.

I'm really ticked. Plus, I'm out a nice food container.

I left a note on the refrigerator: "To Whomever Made My Lunch Disappear Thursday, I hope you enjoyed it, since I didn't have a chance to," and I signed it.

I should have added "by the way, I dropped the frittata on the floor while I was flipping it, but we abide by the 5-second rule at my house." Then waited to see who got sick....

What nerve! I'm really amazed that someone in this 90-person office could be such a cheeseball.

Man, that takes nerve!!!It will be interesting to see if you get the container back.Yeah, you should have added the note about the 5 second rule.Would have been fun to see their expression while they read that!

That really is low! It'll be interesting to see if the thief is dumb enough to keep the container and use it again, so it would give him/her away! I always write my name on the bottom of mine with a Sharpie. You deserve an extra nice dinner tonight.

ROFL Donna. I know you are upset and rightfully so, but you really made me chuckle. Poor guy/gal really must have been desperate. Or can you imagine the guy coming home and saying to his wife, "what a great fritta you made me dear!"............"what are you talking about honey?"........LOL! Sorry about that, hope you did get to eat something.

How low can you go? Reminds me of the story that DH tells when he was in the service and stationed overseas and his mom was always sending him goodies. He always told the guys that he's happy to share but to please ask first. Well one person helped himself to some chocolate that was sent and DH was none too pleased. So he decided to catch the person that wouldn't own up. He substituted some chocolate Exlax for the chocolate. Well next thing you know there was some very uncomfortable moaning coming from the barracks! And his reply was "all you had to do was ask". Think that was the last time he ever took any of DH's stuff!

I did that unknowingly with my grandmother's Ex-Lax when I was about 8. After getting tired of running back and forth, I spent the rest of the night in the bathroom!
