Good morning!

Mr. Winston is getting his stitches out at 9. Thank goodness the last 3 days he's been less amorous. I know Katie's back is relieved. At 11, I'm getting my hair shaped up. Think I'll go even choppier this time. The weather has been perfect for walking. I got in about an hr. total yesterday, although when I go with the dogs I wind up serving as a May pole!

We're planning to go out to dinner (either Hops or The Ale House) and then go see "Intolerable Cruelty." I've been waiting for that for over a month.

Have a great day everybody!

Did my powerwalk. Meetings all day - bu**er!

Going to take it easy tonight. Have to work 8 hrs. tomorrow at Dillard's. I wanted to go the Texas Renaissance Festival near Houston on Sunday, but I don't have enough $. Maybe ds and I can catch that before it is over in Nov. DS would rather go fishing with his dad anyway! I may go drive the Autumn Trails just to see some pretty leaves on Sunday.

Have a nice day.

Good Morning and TGIF!

I for one am extremely happy that it's Friday and the work week will soon be done! Workout has been completed with 45 minutes of cardio.

It is my not so favorite coworker's birthday today and lunch and cake has been planned for her which means my lunch hour will be spent in the office. I really don't like that-makes the day seem much longer with no outside break.

After work it will be the usual Friday fly through the grocery store and my Friday night collapse on the sofa in front of the TV and the challenge will be on to see if I will be able to stay awake until and through "What Not to Wear". DD who usually watches the show with me and keeps me awake is going to Massachusetts this weekend so I'm on my own for staying awake!

Hope everyone has a wonderful TGIF!

TGIF is right!!!I am so glad it's Friday!!I'm not sure why cause I have to work Sat and Sun but I just want this week done. The chickens have killed me this week.I have had a couple work accidents that have resulted in a knot on my head, a purple(bruised) knee and a few cuts on hands and arms.I'm just shaking my head and wondering how I ended up where I am!!!This was so not my life plan.LOL I've already put DH on notice that tonight I'm wrapping up work early, throwing on the flannels and hitting the couch.Another big Friday night with the wild Princess.

Workout, I hope it's the weights I haven't been able to get to.I also hope it's a run that puts me in a better disposition.15 min project, putting my red flannels on the bed :)

I've been home all week working, being domesticated(lots of cooking and tons of cleaning)and eating a very healthy diet.I'm tired and cranky and thinking this is so not for me!!:)

I have a visual...VBP, red flannels, couch, remote, bowl of ice cream and tiara...

I'm likin' it!

Get your workout in, Patty. I, too, have tons to do, feel like I'm going to explode or implode and have blown off my workouts 3 days in a row. Today I decided if I don't workout, I'll blow. I had an awesome powerwalk. Pushed myself the entire time. Legs are tired, but my spirit is lifted.

Just do it....

Love ya :)

Sassy

Good morning, all!

It's a beautiful day in Boston, especially for those of us who never quite climbed on the Red Sox bandwagon; I went to bed at 11:15 and missed this year's final heartbreak, but I slept well. One of the morning drive-time radio shows took a call from a 77-yr-old woman who has been following the Sox since 1939. She's been awake since midnight on the phone with family and friends. Poor thing - I think an intervention for this horrible addiction is in order.

Workout tonight will be cardio and weights - did cardio only Thursday night. 15-minute project - the dust on the furniture is calling.

I'm not letting the citywide Red Sox hangover, my lunch thief, or my blasted monthly hormonal headache (to be referred to from now on as MHH) get to me today; I feel great overall, I've lost that pesky pound that was taunting me all week (total 11 gone), and my newly washed jeans slid over my hips and zipped efforlessly this morning. I'm even wearing a twin-set with them (instead of the normal butt-covering tunic), and when I walk, there's no wobble!

Have a great day, everyone!

I've never understood people's fascination, let alone madcap addiction to professional sports.

Rhonda,

Please give us a review of the movie. I think I would like to see that one too. DH doesn't usually like these kinds of movies but with Catherine Zeta Jones I may be able to talk him into going with me!

Boston's baseball love affair is looney, IMHO. The rivalry with the Yankees is even loonier. The history is interesting, even to a non-fan; and basically, it's summarized by one simple phrase - "The Curse of the Bambino", referring to the trade, way back when, of Babe Ruth to the Yankees by the then-Red Sox owner who was trying to finance a musical and was running out of money. He sold the Babe to the Yankees for really short money, we all know what the Babe meant to the Yankees throughout history, and Boston fans have been beating themselves silly over it since. One of our local sports writers, Dan Shaughnessey, wrote a book called "The Curse of the Bambino" several years back. Fun reading.

I, on the other hand, save my looniness for the New England Patriots. I'm as nutty about them as any Sox fan is about the Red Sox. But I figure, they play in the wintertime (who really wants to be out in the snow and cold), it's only 16 weeks (more concentrated looniness in a shorter period of time), and it's one game a week to waste time on (rather than 4 or more). Plus I get to do a lot of squats and jumps off the sofa during a single game, and I refine my shoe-throwing technique....
