Good Morning,

Not sunny at all in this neck of the woods. It's raining on and off with some very cool temperatures. I'm the only one up here this morning. Even Otto went back to bed. It's very very quiet here! Already have 2 loads of laundry folded, one drying and one washing. Bills are next on the agenda and then getting the fingernails and piggies painted. Nothing specific on the agenda for today. I went to the library yesterday and took out "Tuesdays with Morrie" so maybe some reading time if I can ever stop looking at the clock and turn off the mind as to what I should be doing as opposed to what I want to be doing.

Hope your Sunday is sunny!

Boy am I tired! I worked 66 hours last week, no wonder. This week will be easier - yay! Anyway, I'm off today so since my friend and I worked so hard, we are going on a girls day out shopping trip to Tyler. Foley's has a red apple sale and we'll go to their mall (which is better than ours) and eat lunch at TGI Fridays. We're going in her convertible! How fun is that! DS told me he wanted to go fishing with his dad and that's fine with me. Don't have much money to spend, but even window shopping is fun.

Will do weights & ab work today, too. Yesterday I had a great eating day. Today, I may have trouble because of TGIF nachos, but I will limit the portion. HeHe!

Congrats to the Sooners! Believe me, I get up to the minute reports from Tim all the time. ;-) At least the Gators beat a ranked team for the second week in a row, although from what I understand, they tried to give it away in the 2nd half. I missed it, but we have the replay on now. Maybe the young team along with the new coach and true freshman quarterback are finally starting to gel.

The seminar yesterday was good and bad. The new products are awesome, but I have some concerns about the company's and some of the more successful wellness consultants' philosophies/approach that I'm struggling with. I won't bore you with the details, but I'm thinking I'm just not a business person.

We're heading down to the historic district of St. Augustine today to do the tourist thing on St. George Street and along the bay, then heading over to the outlet malls for nothing in particular. That'll get in a good bit of walking. We're having weather similar to Phyllis only a little humid.

Have a super Sunday!

Good morning, all!

It's totally not warm here - cloudy, chilly, and trying to decide whether to drizzle. The weatherguys actually said the "s" word on the late news last night; could be snow in the mid-western Massachusetts hills before today is over. I like winter as much as anyone (well, more than most), but not in the middle of October. We'll see what happens.

DH and I went out to dinner last night after our drive south; forgetting the 3-taste rule (intentionally), I split dessert with him 50-50 - a sticky toffee pudding (like the English puddings, steamed and cakey) with vanilla ice cream. What a way to splurge! I'm back on the wagon this morning; I already made a huge spinach-and-Canadian-bacon frittata for breakfast; whetever's left over will be my breakfast or lunch a couple of times this week.

We got home from our little drive in time for me to stop at Kohl's and get some new lingerie. I think I need to return the bras; apparently, I'm between sizes and I'm thinking I need a professional fitting - either that, or a serious encounter with a measuring tape.

I'm headed to the dungeon to do some cardio and abs; I'll be accompanied by the gentle wooshing sound of the washer and dryer.

Have a great day!

GO PATS! GO MARLINS!

Hi Everyone! We are having weather like Phyllis and Nanc! Its beautiful out there! But I will be spending my early afternoon indoors watching the fabulous Minnesota Vikings (hopefully) kick butt! They are 5 and 0 as of yet, hoping they can keep the record going!

Do you remember me telling you all about my search I've been doing for my dads family? Well, we were successful once again last night! So far among many other things we have found one of my fathers cousins in Marysville, CA. We (dad, mom, my sister and I) are going out there this Thanksgiving to meet her for the first time. But dad also has three sisters that he has never met and actually didn't even know about until 1999 when his mother told my sister and I the day before she passed away. We did a search for these sisters similar to the search we did when finding the cousin. We had his dads obit from a newspaper in CA, and in it, had their names and the towns they lived in at that time. Now you have to know, he passed away in 1973 so many years have passed since then. Dh did a search on the net for their names in those towns and only found one but the first name was different. But we figured, what the heck and sent out a letter to her. Low and behold she happened to be an ex-daughter-in-law to one of the sisters and she contacted the sister and the sister emailed me last night! I called my sister and my parents after receiving this email and we are all ecstatic over the finding! The amazing thing is, these people had no idea of my dad even existing and they are all so welcoming and helpful! This search has been so exciting and so interesting! Things are just falling into place and I truly believe we have been receiving help from above.

I won't be working out for a couple of days. Last week I injured my right hip while running. Got that healed and then on Friday I injured my left lower back while cutting down, trimming, and halling bushes in the yard. It hurts so bad that the pain just shoots down my leg and pulls so hard each time I try to lift my leg. So I will be icing it while I watch the game today and hopefully it will be okay by tomorrow so I can get back into the swing of things once again.

Have a great day ladies! Go VIKES!!
