I overdid it today!

Yep, I definitely overdid it today. I wanted to run some errands and was out way too long. But, I was determined to finish.

I started the day normally and got a good weight workout in. I did wake up with tight muscles in my back...on the left side which I think is aggravated by the limping. I then went to Linens and Things to find a new dustbuster and toaster oven with mounting rack. No good. Then went to Sports Authority to return shoes I bought...could not get it on left foot. Then off to Bed Bath and Beyond...found the toaster oven, mounting rack, dustbuster, step stool, and other odds and ends. Then went to Michaels for crochet hook and yarn. Didn't like the yarn but did get crochet hook and knitting needles. The last stop was Pathmark for grocery shopping. I knew I was already tired, but decided to go ahead anyway. It was touch and go loading and unloading the groceries from the car and putting them away. I am done for the rest of the day. It takes too much out of me trying to force myself to walk normally and not think about the pain in my foot with the shoe rubbing. Tomorrow is a day off and just puttering around the house. I think I will sleep well tonight.

I hope all of that

This is probably the most difficult part of your recovery -- when you no longer hurt enough to have to be totally off your foot, but still shouldn't do too much, and you're antsy to get things done after being out of commission so long. I am the world's worst for doing more than I should too soon, so I have no room to talk, but still I'll caution you as a friend to try to take it easy. You got an awful lot accomplished today, so maybe it will be easier to stay off your foot some tomorrow.

Hugs,

Rhonda

I thought I'd read and responded to your message, but I must have been hallucinating. Or awestruck. Sheesh, Grace, you did more on one good foot than I did all weekend on two! Take it easy and take advantage of the time you have to recuperate. No setbacks!!

Yes, Grace! Goodness, that's too much for me to do in one day, much less for someone who is recovering from foot surgery! Someone is going to have to restrain you, girlie! The FOF doctors here are ordering you to take it easy!

Hugs,

Kat

Hi, Rhonda...you are so right, it is the hard part of recovery.

I would be very interested in learning more about the magnetic insoles. I am really getting anxious to heal faster. Thanks for offering your help.

Hi, Donna...you did respond to me on the other post. I do appreciate it! I really didn't do too much...I really can't exercise. I am determined to get this foot strong again. I am taking it easy today.

Hi, Kat...I promise to take it easy today. I was actually going to try and wash some windows, but I am not going to. How is that? I am just cooking and crocheting after I get off the computer.

Thanks for your concern.
