Rhonda and Margie - just thought I'd let you know. At least there's one on around here. Hope it's national....

I sure wish I could go to the shoe sale. I actually can't wait to buy shoes when the bunions are gone and the swelling is down. Maybe size 5's will fit again (if I can find them). Shoe people usually just laugh at me when I tell them what size I am.

I am now down to one pair of running shoes that fit with the swelling in my foot. I am having a fashion crisis.

Just think, Grace - when the bunions are gone, something new will be in fashion. Think of the bunions as helping you save money for the next style cycle.

(...what's with me and all this silver lining stuff anyway?)

Hope you're cooking something yummy with all the groceries you hauled yesterday...

Donna,

I'm not even sure if we have a Lord & Taylor around here.

Not this year, unless I can find Easy Spirits and Aerosoles for really good prices. I'm having trouble finding shoes that are really, truly comfortable. I've repaired the couple of pair of comfy ones I had from last year so they look brand new, and I'm not wearing them on Boston's brick and cobblestone streets so they can get all chewed up again.

My shoe purchases lately have been Birkenstocks - I wish they made real shoes that look less crunchy-munchy than their clogs and sandals. Although I found a few pair on QVC that didn't look like their usual heavy-duty crunchy-munchy styles.

Thanks for letting us know! The closest one is in Orlando, but I have their credit card, and I'll check online. LOL! We came very close to going down there Sunday instead of to St. Aug. so I could go on my shoe hunt, but I decided against it. After finding the necklace, I was glad I did.

Donna,

The bulk of my shoe purchases are from Easy Spirit.com.

Some really comfy shoe companys I have shoes by (from when I had foot trouble) are Born, Dansko, Joseph Seibel, Clarks, and Beautifeel. All but Beautifeel are carried in dept. stores like Dillard's, Belk's, Parisian, etc. I got the Beautifeel ones in a specialty shoe store in Orlando. I tried on some by Elle for the first time the other day, and they felt fabulous, but I have enough comfort-type shoes. None of these are heels.
