For a brief period of time yesterday, ivillage actually caught up with me and gave me the upgrade board options! This morning they are gone again. 24-48 hours to get it done only took 6 days. After I get over being ticked about it, I might sign up again :)
I'm looking forward to today. I'm going to do cardio, biceps, triceps and abs. Then I'll be heading into the office for a bit and then off to lunch with a couple of friends. I'll be back in the office after that. Don't have to cook tonight...dinner at church.
I can see why brawls start at kid's sporting events. It all started last night when my son, the least malicious child you would ever meet, was ejected from his baseball game for "intentionally running down the catcher". There was no intent about it. The kid put his head down and headed for home plate, nothing was stopping him until he saw home plate. He says he didn't even see the catcher. The umpire (a short man with no neck) is known as a short-fused, cocky idiot who announced to our coach that he'll "make an example" out of any kid who hits the catcher. A warning would have sufficed. Our son wasn't hurt and the catcher definitely wasn't hurt. Unfortunately, it is the ump's call in that situation as both have the right to be in the base line and should try to avoid colliding. The ump said my kid had plenty of time to make the decision to slide. He was only half way down the baseline and if he had slid, he would have taken out the catcher and never made it to home plate. Of course DH went ballistic. One of our coach's went even more ballistic, but he's always that way. He was begging the ump to take another step toward him. The man is in his 60's but was ready to take the thug umpire on!
So, my DS was devastated. I kept hushing up my DH before he made an a** out of himself and he wasn't doing himself any good. Then the dad coach's in the field from the other team started berating my husband about how he needs to teach our kid about sportsmanship conduct, etc. I stopped my DH from going over the fence but only because our son was standing there. Geeeeeeez. Thank God our Pastor hadn't shown up yet to watch Shawn pitch! Our coach called last night to confirm that the ump was an idiot, we kicked the other teams butt, even without enough kids to field a geam and to tell my DH he showed great restraint. Of course he really called to talk to our DS, who was feeling better. The other kids on our team refused to take the field as a mini-protest, but I told them on the way out that although we appreciated the gesture, it was better to go out and kick some butt in Shawn's honor. DH and DS were gone several hours after the game...just driving around and chatting and then stopped at DS's favorite pizza place for dinner. I called and told my sister about it. Her DS is an awesome ball player and her DH has been ejected from many a game because of his big mouth, but my nephew has never been ejected. My DS did exactly what he was supposed to do. He quietly walked off the field and never said a word.
Anyway. That was my excitement for the evening.
Another game tonight...I'm not able to go, but I've already talked with DS about it...he's such a good kid. Guess I should speak to his father!
Hugs.
Sassy :)
Speaking of food, I have to go shopping tonite before chat. I hate grocery shopping! However, I have to get some stuff to stay OP as they say in WW. Today is a rest day. 15 min. project: wish I could say I could look for one as Phyllis is but I've got lots - namely laundry still. Put a dent in last night . . . Also, there's letters to send out for the business.
Have a great day!
Rainy and chilly here - not a good day for walking about. So my cardio workout will be on the treadmill tonight.
15-minute project - don't know yet. Might involve helping the ILs move stuff around at their house.
Busy at work - really need to buckle down and do what I'm paid for, so I'll be scarce around here today.
Have a great one!

My 15 minute project will be to sew some new flannel pj's for the boys. They are all cut out and shouldn't take to long to whip up on the serger.
Have a wonderful day ladies.

Yes--had a good night's sleep!
Congrats Phyllis! I would love to be excited about getting on the scales. I really think my doctor's office scales are off...or at least I like mine at home better. Since I have been sick, I've been eating all the wrong stuff. Nothing sounds good, my appetite isn't great so I eat whatever appeals to me and it shows. This week it has been hot ham and pepper jack cheese sandwiches made on a piece flat bread. It's pretty good but I'm eating too much cheese I'm sure. Add a little honey mustard and some ranch dressing to that and it's right tasty...not low carb or low fat but tasty.
Hope your presentation goes well.
