Good morning. Sleep in? What's that? Even though ds did not have school today, dd made enough noise to wake the whole house at 6 this morning, so no sleeping in here!!! Oh for the days when she lived on her own!

Survivor...ah yes....couldn't agree more about Osten and John. Osten is such a wimp, running away from the bird because he was afraid it was going to bite him and I'd think he'd be just a bit embarassed about that little girl holding as much weight as him!!!! Where did he buy those muscles? I'm sure he didn't work for them!!! LOL Someone needs to get a zipper for John's mouth. I was really hoping he was going to get voted off last night!

I'm planning on a decent workout today. Weights and some cardio. Also going to attempt to get back on track with my eating.

Deb - Have you ever stayed in any of the little boutique-y hotels around Union Square? DH and I were out there - quite a while ago, now, so I don't know the current status of the place - and stayed at just up the hill from the square ar the Hotel Vintage Court. Lots better that the prices at the major chains around the city. I do remember this: Masa's, which many moons ago was one of SF's top-drawer restaurants and supposedly had begun to climb back within the last couple of years - was inside the hotel, but not part of it. The hotel used to serve breakfast there, then Masa operations took over for dinner.

"those great Italian bakeries in the North End, and the yummy Dim Sum places in Chinatown, and...."

Gee, I thought you were coming to Boston and didn't tell me! We have the North End; SF has North Beach......

Hi, Phyllis...I didn't think I would get into survivor this time around, but I did. Those two get on my nerves too. I didn't watch as closely as usual since I was going back and forth to the Yankee game.

I actually slept really well last night and slept in too! I guess my body needed it to help the healing.

You have a great weekend.

That Thanksgiving a la Cooking Light sounds good, Deb. I may "practice" with that myself, this year. I've been invited to someone's home, but of course, I want Thanksgiving at my house, too! I like leftovers!!!

Your birthday vacation in SF sounds so fun! I can't wait to hear all about it! Yes, SF cuisine is so good! That's probably why there are many hills and walking streets in SF to counteract all the calories!

Donna, I thought of you around 3:00 today when my car thermometer said 90 degrees. I remembered you said you didn't want any more 90's. I am loving it! I actually wrote this earlier today, but must have forgotten to hit "post." I hate it when that happens. Do you still have snow on the ground up there?

I got some wonderful bargains today to put aside for Rob for his birthday and for Christmas. I wrapped about 10 items, so he can't peek. We haven't gotten his big gifts yet, which will probably have something to do with guitars, surfing, or BMX bikes, but these will fill in nicely as the smaller gifts.

We're supposed to meet Tim there tonight at 7 to look at jackets for him, and HE wants to look at Victoria's Secret. Ruh roh...

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Rhonda

Hey Phyllis...I couldn't agree with you more on the Survivor show. I use to think that the only thing that Osten has going for himself is his muscles but he just proved he can't even perform with those! Did you see that? Christa was just as good as him! What a whoos! And John....he needs someone to trip him as he's strutting up to vote. What a cocky thing!

I was able to do a pretty good workout today. My back is healing pretty well, still feeling the numbness in my hand and arm and feeling light headed now and then but didn't let that stop me from doing hand weights, 2 miles on the treadmill, and yoga for stress release and relaxation.
