Hi
I have been slowly trying to get fit and lose weight--27 pounds lost since Jan 1! While that doesn't seem like record breaking speed, I have lost quickly before, only to gain it right back. So I want to do it right this time, not by depriving myself of foods I normally have--just eating less of them! I only have about 8 more to go to reach my goal. Slowly weaning myself of another weight loss site (fantastic site, but a pay site). I don't believe I will renew my membership there when it comes up again.
I have all the weight loss software I need right in my handheld. So I have been just using that to track my diet and exercise.

All I have been doing is plain old eating better (and less), and exercising more. Looking forward to meeting a great new group of people, to continue my journey to fitness. Good to meet everyone!

Thanks for asking! and what a nice bunch of ladies you all are!
I do the elliptical trainer for 20 min M-W-Fri, followed by ab and lower body work for another 20 min or so.
Tu-Thurs I do a 5 min warm up on the elliptical, followed by upper body work for 15 min or so with weights.
On Saturdays, I either goof off, or do a Curves style workout at home with resistance bands. Sunday I go to a nice restaurant across the street that has all you can eat crab legs (of COURSE I don't dip in butter--and crab legs aren't too bad by themselves)! That is my reward for a weeks work.
I really don't like to work out, but it is a necessary evil in your 40's, it seems. Gotta stay toned and fit, right?
Congratulations on doing so well. I think the best way of eating is to eat sensibly like you are doing aollowing your self a treat now and then.
I am a 40 year old and mature student. I think exercise is also important and I walk
most places.
