workouts/eating today?

I had another awesome power walk this morning. It was cool and brisk and a bit overcast and I was MOVING out. I feel so empowered. Control - I'm taking it back! Just polished off scrambled eggs (1 whole egg, 1 egg white with a thin slice of havarti) and a bit glass fo chocolate soy. Hitting the showers in a minute.

Who's next?

Hugs

Did really well for breakfast with my oatmeal, soy milk and cranberry juice. Then I had a huge craving for a bagel with cream cheese that could not be denied. To top it off, I had a frappuchino from the vending machine. At least the bottled frappuchinos are a reasonable quantity and low fat. Still, a lot of sugar. And probably well over 500 calories for the lot. Oh well, I'll need my energy for Jazzercise tonight after work. Lunch is a ham sandwich on wheat bread and a cup of chicken soup...oh yeah, the yogurt and apple thing too. I may not get the soup eaten today and it might only be half the sandwich. That's a lot of food for me at one lunch sitting. Tonight I'm planning on chef salad (no cheese...whoever thought cheese on a salad was appetizing...ick) with turkey breast, cukes and etc. I've really gotten to like beans on my salad and I've been working my way through a can of garbanzos. I bet I bought every kind of bean imaginable to see how it tastes on a salad.

So there ya go. My plans are already toast, but I'll keep trying.

Good eating today. Breakfast was about a scant 2/3-cup portion of McCann's steel cut oats loaded with cinammon, slivered almonds, and topped vanilla Soy Slender. Snack was a mozzarella cheese stick. Lunch is tuna with olives chopped up in it, easy on the mayo, a slice of toasted Arnold HealthNut bread, and 1/2 an English cucumber. For those of you who like cukes, but they don't like you back, the English ones are milder than the ones we all usually get - not so many seeds - and not so gassy-making. Also, cukes are a mega-source of potassium - who knew?? Snack is the other half of the cuke and the reduced fat cheese stick (got to get more of those). Dinner - salmon from the Foreman grill, asparagus, acorn squash - maybe a Bosc pear for dessert, maybe not.

Keep up the good work, everyone.

When I allow myself oatmeal that's the kind I like. I find that with raisins, cinnamon, and walnuts, I have no need for any kind of sweetener, and I don't add milk to mine anyway.

Dinner plans changed Tuesday night - MIL treated us to dinner at a local Greek restaurant. Still managed a healthy dinner - roasted chicken (lemony and minty all at once - really tasty and crispy), salad w/ olive oil and vinegar dressing, and zucchini with tomatoes. No appetizer, no dessert.
