Good Eating and Exercise Paying Off.....

I think I mentioned a weight-loss plateau a little while ago. I was ready to settle into in and do a little tweaking here and there. Imagine my pleasure when I got on the scale this morning (I can't wait until Sunday, my official weigh-in day, so I do an interim check every week) and found another pound gone. That's 12 total in about 8 weeks! I'm thrilled. Five more to go before I start buying some new basic clothes - unless the stuff I have now starts falling off me before then; some are close to doing that already -I may not be taking off my tops, but my pants could be posing a problem soon........
Yippee!!

I was thrilled at how easy my 28 lbs. came off earlier this year when I reduced my carbs some. I hope these last 9 or so will come off soon, but I know the last ones are the hardest. I still find myself trying not to eat too many carbs and I still don't like to eat dinner after 6 pm. Good habits are hard to break, too, I'm finding.
Way to go and have fun shopping!!!

Hey, that's a good "pants problem" to have, in my humble opinion!

Congratulations, Donna! It's wonderful that you've done so well on the SBD AND with your exercise. I agree that after working all day, it's especially commendable you're able to be so disciplined.
I could kick myself for going off it after losing 15 lbs. by July 4th (about 3 months from 4/7). I put back on about 7 lbs. Tim has gone back on it, and even though I'm doing well in some areas, I still have been eating some sweets. We just rejoined the Y, so if I can haul my butt there and keep my neck OK, maybe that will motivate me to eat better too.
Enjoy your shopping when you decide to go!

I went quickly into a Pinches-and-Pounds (what a perfect name) bulk candy store at the local mall, just to see what their selection of sugar-free candies looked like. Well, my eyes glazed over - they have a huge section of bulk types. I won't be stopping by there too often, but just to know that it's close by if I'm craving dark chocolate and don't want to go the full-sugar route is comforting.
(I'm so easily pacified....)
Rhonda - You can get back into it, especially with Tim also on board. What better time than just before the holidays? And with your reactivated membership at the Y, I'll bet you can make a very quick dent in the 7 lbs you regained.
I appreciate your encouragement, and you are so right. I'd like to lose about 18 more lbs. in addition to the 7 I gained back, but this would be the perfect time. Then, maybe when beach time rolls around next spring I could really enjoy it and actually look forward to getting a new bathing suit for a change.
You have done so well and are a great inspiration. If you can do it when you work full time, I should have no excuses. So far, I have stuck with it today, but there are NINE bags of Halloween candy in the house calling my name. I seem to do pretty well until night, but I will try to do better tonight.
Thanks,
Rhonda
