Trying to stay within points..........

This is so hard, staying on points. I need to do this, and I want to lose this weight. But man what a struggle. I have 20 points for the day, and I was curious to hear from you ladies who are also following WW. What do you guys eat on a average day? You can email me if you want to instead of posting here. I think I will post over at the WW board and see if anyone can give me some suggestions.

Hey, Deb! I did go to WW yesterday and I like the idea of the flex points. It is almost impossible to stay within the 20 points unless I stay out most of the day. Do use your flex points. You can either save them for a busy weekend or take up to 5 a day to spread them out for the week.

I am bad, I know, but, I don't eat breakfast until 11 or later. I am just not hungry in the morning and I actually get hungrier if I do have breakfast. So, I eat later, or carry fruit with me if I go out early.

I am finding that eating real 100% whole wheat bread is keeping me full longer. The leader suggested not eating light breads and eat something more substantial. I use egg substitutes a lot for breakfast and eat big salad before dinner or make it my dinner with some protein added. I have to have the foods that are good for me (and the family) in the house to help me stay on track.

So...let's do a salad for lunch soon and review how to get through this. Hang in there! I am so determined to do it this time.

Hope things are better with your sis.

I know how you feel, Deb! I was hungry most of the day until today! I had an 8 point breakfast. I won't be having what I ate today very often but eating a good breakfast is paramount for my success. If I eat one "big meal" it will be that one. I think peanut butter in oatmeal or on an apple are some good ideas. I also like to use whole wheat products as much as possible - they're bulkier too which keeps you full longer. Lots of vegetables are good, too. I think using some Flex points during the week is wise, too. I think we need to "mix it up" sometimes - I don't use them everyday, but I do use some during the week.

I'm finding that good protein (like salmon) along with cooked & raw vegetables and fruits are what keep me sated during the day. I also love to eat yogurt. Also, try to sprinkle some almonds or walnuts on your salad (if you care for nuts on your salad).

Hope things get better,

Kat

We should start a 20 pt a day club here!

I agree, it is hard to stay within the point range.
