Gotta get back on track

Angry with myself here - I have slipped - eating-wise lately. I've had a cold (two different ones back to back, actually) for three weeks now, travelled to Okinawa last week, and now all the stuff in the office and my boss leaving in less than two months. By the time I get home from work, I just don't feel like doing anything, especially when I am looking forward to an evening of doing job applications. I haven't felt like cooking, so have been making sandwiches, grabbing crackers and cheese and nuts and a glass or two of wine, and just generally not as healthy as I should. I am really feeling it, too. I just feel sluggish. The scale still stays within the same three pound range, but I know I'm not treating myself right. I know, I haven't posted for a month, then come back complaining...... Maybe I need to get back to coming and posting regularly again, then I can brag about doing well instead of whining.

Thanks for listening, now maybe I can get my act together on this front, and start feeling better physically.

At least your realized this before it got worse. One day at a time. Start to focus on you again. Feel better, we all go through this. Yoga sounds like a wonderful idea.

Hey, we all get into that rut from time to time. It's had to break out of. Don't be too hard on yourself. Just set your cap for your goals and go for it. Hope you can come back and post more often.

Coffee for venting, girlfriend. You sound like I felt about 1-2 weeks ago - ruts in several areas - and sometimes venting is what's needed to get us to accentuate the positive once again. Don't be a stranger here, take us up on the daily challenges, and you just might find yourself getting back to where you want to be. And when you do, it feels good.

Hugs, Cussette

Little,

Don't be angry with yourself. Life gets way too complicated at times and the focus of taking care of yourself gets lost along the way. You'll find your way back and I hope that we'll see you back here on a regular basis.

Lots of hugs,

Susan

Cyber-hugs coming your way, Little. Sometimes wallowing is a good thing, but not for too long, as you've recognized. Don't be a stranger here - there are a few people here having low times of their own, and you all need to know you're not alone, that things change for the better, and friends far away care for you.

Keep working it, Little - good things are heading your way.

Hugs,

Donna

Thank you all! I do appreciate your nice thoughts.

I went home after work on Friday, dropped my stuff off, walked over to the deli, and bought a 1/2 roasted chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, and mixed veggies for supper. Took it home, split it for two meals, and had probably the healthiest meal I've had in weeks. Enjoyed one glass of wine with it, then did the bubble bath thing.

Did my Saturday morning yoga session, then came over to the office to "play" a while.

I will get back on track, I just have had so much going on in my life lately, that I have been letting things slip on several fronts.

Yes, I think the solution is that you need to post more often with us!
