1. You've just lost your last five lbs. to reach your goal. What will you reward yourself with (besides good health and the satisfaction of doing it)?

2. It's 11/1/04 -- What do you think your post will be?

3. Do you consider yourself "lucky?" If so, what's something lucky that has happened to you (other than being blessed with a great family and health)?

4. What's something you've done that risky, unconventional, or scary that you're really glad you did?

5. What's a subject you'd like to know more about?

1. You've just lost your last five lbs. to reach your goal. What will you reward yourself with (besides good health and the satisfaction of doing it)?

***A really body hugging bathing suit and a sleeveless dress with a low back for evening.

2. It's 11/1/04 -- What do you think your post will be?

***I had really good restraint with the Halloween candy this year. Now that I've gotten in shape and gotten so much inspiration and encouragement from our get together, I'm not going to blow it. (Hope! Hope)!

3. Do you consider yourself "lucky?" If so, what's something lucky that has happened to you (other than being blessed with a great family and health)?

***I'm pretty lucky. I've won a clock radio in a drawing at a class reunion. Won a camera at a drawing in a store. I've won dinner for two in another drawing when I worked. Won a bike for Rob in a drawing at the mall last year. When I was 16, I got through for a radio contest, answered a question right, and won 2 tickets to see the Beach Boys in their hey day. I think there have been other things too, but that's all I can think of right now.

4. What's something you've done that risky, unconventional, or scary that you're really glad you did?

***Actually, two great unconventional things -- I married a man 13 1/2 years younger and had a child at age 39. Two of the best things I've done in my whole life!!

5. What's a subject you'd like to know more about?

***Well, it's not that I really WANT to know more about it, because I think it's boring, but I need to know more about finance. Thank goodness Tim is a whiz at it, so I haven't had to deal with it.

Who's next???

1. You've just lost your last five lbs. to reach your goal. What will you reward yourself with (besides good health and the satisfaction of doing it)?

A slinky, black strapless dress and heels that I will probably never wear but love to put on anyway.

2. It's 11/1/04 -- What do you think your post will be?

Oh man, you should have been at the party I went to last night....

3. Do you consider yourself "lucky?" If so, what's something lucky that has happened to you (other than being blessed with a great family and health)?

No. I don't believe in luck. If it exists at all, we make it ourselves.

4. What's something you've done that risky, unconventional, or scary that you're really glad you did?

Ummmm...that I'm GLAD I did? I outed the Grand Dragon for our local KKK chapter. Not like he was hiding or anything but he was corrupting this very nice young man who happened to be his paperboy and, as near as we can tell, the only other member in his KKK group. So we called the local media. Of course, in the end he wound up 'converting' to Judaism (yes, I doubt his sincerity) and getting a lot of media coverage before he died of complications from diabetes. Don't know how risky, unconventional or scary it was but I guess he could have had friends in low places. It never occurred to me at the time. But I'm denifitely glad I did it.

5. What's a subject you'd like to know more about?

String theory--Unified Universal Theory. "The theory of everything."

Thanks Rhonda!

1. You've just lost your last five lbs. to reach your goal. What will you reward yourself with (besides good health and the satisfaction of doing it)? I guess food would not be the best choice..........lol! I think a full day at a spa. Massage, facial, sea salt rub, hair, feets, the works!

2. It's 11/1/04 -- What do you think your post will be? Gettint ready to cry because my baby son will be turning 20 next year. OMG, I can not be old enough to have a 20 year old kid.

3. Do you consider yourself "lucky?" If so, what's something lucky that has happened to you (other than being blessed with a great family and health)? The only time I would say I was lucky, like as to win something would be years ago I won a prize of $250.00 2 weeks before Christmas. Other then that, nothing.

4. What's something you've done that risky, unconventional, or scary that you're really glad you did? I guess last year when I went on a plane by myself and met up with 3 other ladies in Nashville, TN. I only knew them from here at ivillage, and it was a big chance. We all stayed in the same room. Hubby was freaking out. I was so excited. It was probley the best I ever did for me!

5. What's a subject you'd like to know more about? This is difficult. There are many things I wish I could learn to do and discover. Maybe I need one of those lists....? Here are a few, yoga, computers, gardening, I know there are more, but I have not had my tea yet.

Good ones!

On losing those last 5 pounds, I'd go get some super-chocolate ice cream at Baskin Robbins or some specialty store!

11/1/04, my post will probably be about DD's Halloween.

"Lucky" - I've won a few door prizes in my time, but I don't consider myself lucky in that *everything* goes the way I want it. But I certainly don't feel I'm unlucky either.

Subject I'd like to know more about... Hmmm, there was something a while back, but darn if I can think of it! Right now I'd like to know more about cake decorating, and maybe early next year I'll take some classes.

1. You've just lost your last five lbs. to reach your goal. What will you reward yourself with (besides good health and the satisfaction of doing it)?

Hair extensions - real ones, cost be darned.

2. It's 11/1/04 -- What do you think your post will be?

That I have a new job and I'm loving it, or that I'm close to accepting an offer.

3. Do you consider yourself "lucky?" If so, what's something lucky that has happened to you (other than being blessed with a great family and health)?

No, I don't consider myself lucky. Luck is seriously overrated.

4. What's something you've done that risky, unconventional, or scary that you're really glad you did?

I approached DH at the club where we met the first time, and then the second time I saw him there, when we really clicked. Not risky (except to my self esteem), or scary (except maybe to him if he weren't interested), but still a tad unconventional around here in the early 1980s.

5. What's a subject you'd like to know more about?

Italian - I'd like to learn the language - and Italy.

Thanks, Rhonda!

Luck is seriously overrated unless you're one of those people who wins the lottery!!
