Good Morning.

Rest day for me, today. Rest from exercise, anyway! Have already been to the grocery store and fixed breakfast for my crew. We have soccer games this morning, I need to finish up the church bulletin...still waiting on input from the Pastor. I haven't trained him well, have I? At 4:30 this afternoon, approx 70 people will be popping in for a soccer end-of-season party and spaghetti. Thankfully, I'm just cooking the pasta and providing the house. It's the perfect time since we've pulled up all our rugs and are replacing furniture after the beginning of the year.

Workout tomorrow morning will be powerwalk with DH.

Hugs.

Sassy :)

Good Morning

It's been a while since I've been posting a workout but I've been up and out and actually feel good coming back in. I managed a 3.3 mile walk this morning headache free so far she says as she keeps her fingers crossed.

We had very few Trick or Treaters although it was a Friday and the weather was perfect. So I think each child of mine will be getting large bags of candy for their room, a place that I dare not enter to often and that way I will not be haunted by it. I did jump on the scale this morning and it seems I've added a bit to my figure so it's time to settle down and forge ahead!

Lots to do as always around here on a Saturday. I hope to get younger DD to help me do a new seat cushion for my grandmother's rocking chair-something she keeps promising to help me do but we just don't get to it! I have a roast planned for dinner although I probably should plan a bbq as it's more like summer weather around here for the 1st day of November!

Hope your Saturday is a good one!

Hi, all. That kind of diverts the attention to see the leaders hold notes in their hands as they try to lead class. Maybe they should stick to one routine long enough to memorize it, huh, Phyllis?

I'm waking up with Joe, here, in my cup. My coworker's pumpkin bread was yummy & she made me take the rest of it home - maybe ds will eat it today. I don't want to eat anymore of it, but it's sure tempting! There's alot of Halloween candy here, too, but I don't care for any of it.

I'm heading out in a few to get a quick powerwalk done and then shower, eat breakfast & head to work. I feel lighter, just hope I can keep up my losing streak this coming Mon. on WW scales. I am going to have to quit going to meetings soon as I really can't continue to afford them since my hours at Dillard's are being reduced. However, I've gained knowledge and have been fortunate in finding good support on the WW board here at iVillage. I'll continue on the plan, though. Until pumpkin pie day, huh, Pattycakes. Then it's no holds barred. LOL! I'm just about done with the menu planning for Thanksgiving and have started buying ingredients. Yes, I'm obsessed with food, I'd say!

Sassy, have a great time with your family today & with your spaghetti dinner. Hope you continue to have a headache free day, Susan.

Have a great one, everyone.

Kat

P.S. Do you have any Sugar Babies, Phyllis? That's my downfall.

Good morning, everyone!

Great news - I weighed myself this morning (mostly 'cuz I couldn't wait until Sunday) and guess what? Another pound vanished!!! That's 13 gone - and I hope that's not a jinx. Can you do the dance of joy with me?

DH and I spent Halloween at the big regional mall south of here. There were lots of little ones trick-or-treating with their families. One little boy was in a skunk costume and a little girl was in a tiger costume; neither could have been much more than 2 years old. The cutest! We also walked the full mall perimeter a bunch of times, so I'm calling that my Friday workout.

Today, I'm doing two loads of laundry, then taking a time out from working out. DH and I are heading to Cape Cod for the day (we didn't get that far south on our recent previous venture). I'm going to stop into two of the Christmas Tree Shoppes down there to see if they have any lamps that catch my eye for the bedroom. The Christmas Tree Shoppes are interesting places - lots of unusual things from fancy party paper products to really nice silk flower types to dishware/glassware/flatware, home decor items, toys, gardening products, and - of course - fabulous gourmet food items, but they're not your typical department store; things are very organized and seldom get turned upside down like the big box stores do. And the prices are phenomenal - for example, oversized paper dinner napkins, various pretty patterns, a package of 100 for $1.99! My favorite one of the stores is the original one in Yarmouthport - it's in three old adjacent colonial homes. If I don't find anything there, there's another design store in the middle of Chatham's main street further down the Cape that has beautiful things; if the prices don't choke me and the style isn't too severely early American, there may be something at that shop that I like. Gonna have fun today!

Have a great day, everyone!

Donna,

Doing the dance of joy with you! You really are doing great! Congratulations!

Your day sounds wonderful! Hope you have a great day! Between all the places you describe in MA and my dd's tales from her trips to her BF's just wants to make me pack my bags!

Good morning!!Phyllis, the fire sounds so nice.I would love to spend evenings like that.

I've already done my walk with my sister.Rest of the day is chickens and the baby shower. Can't believe my friend is going to be a grandmother soon. Also can't believe it's Nov 1.For one thing it's in the upper 70's here. And where the heck has the year gone????

Could't sleep last night or rather slept til 1:30 and then was wide awake.Got up and watched the movie with Andy Garcia and Meg Ryan.I think it's called When a Man Loves a Woman??Great movie.Loved Meg Ryans hair and loved Andy's smile. He is cute!!!

I'm ticked at Dh sorta.Yesterday I went to H'burg to get gift and was heading pretty much straight back.He was suppose to be home all day. When I get home I see he tried to call me on his cell phone which was weird. He got in an area with no service and we couldn't reach each other til an hour or so later. All the while I'm wondering what's going on and where the heck is he.He was driving 3 hrs each way to pick up combine parts!!Total screw up on the part of the company, they forgot to put them on the truck didn't show up where and when they were suppose to.I really do understand that he needed the parts but he had told me he would not be going on Friday to get them.A note telling me where he was going would have been nice or a call on my cell phone before he left would have worked.I had planned to fix a nice dinner and for us to finally have some time together.Plus I was hoping for a night off from chicken land.He doesn't understand why I'm ticked and thinks I'm being difficult.Men just don't think along the same lines as women!!!

Kat, I did a double take at first when I read your message...."I'm waking up with Joe"....then smiled as I finished the sentence!
