Question about HR
| Sat, 11-01-2003 - 7:13am |
I've been using a HR monitor for awhile and my target is 111 as a low to 145 as a high. I have always had trouble keeping the rate below the upper number, whenever I started out on a walk the number starting out was already around 90. Now I have the opposite problem when I start out the beginning number is in the 60's and seems to take forever to get to 111 and it's a real push to get to the mid numbers where I'm working at about 76%. Now I'm tending to lean to the theory that my bp medication has something to do with this. Last week I took the medication before I went out and the monitor was jumping all over the place. This morning I'm waiting until after breakfast as I do most AM's and although it was a long slow rise to the mid numbers I stayed consistent. I guess my question is am I working hard enough at this rate? I'm not quite sure I've explained the question correctly and if I haven't maybe you can figure out what I'm trying to ask!! :)
