I'm feeling very colorful and festive tonight, although a bit tired.
I can hardly believe it, but the Gators managed to upset the 4th ranked Georgia Bulldogs today in what is billed as "The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party!" This rivalry is a MAJOR event and people started celebrating back last Thursday or Friday. The parking lot becomes an RV city.

I was invited to a tailgate party at the stadium today, but spent 7 hours working on the RWCDF newsletter instead. It's a good thing Tim helped me or I couldn't have done it. There are lots of tricks to it, but once you know them, it's not so hard --just time consuming. We bought a better printer/scanner/copier tonight even though ours is only about a year old. This one has a flat bed, so I can copy from books or copy small objects without them getting stuck and has a much higher resolution for reproducing pictures. I'm pretty excited about it.
Rob went over to spend the night with a friend, so Tim and I went to Olive Garden where I got the salmon picotta and roasted veggies, very good. We got there just ahead of some of the Gator fans either coming from the stadium or from watching the game at home the way we did.
If everything works out, we're taking Rob and a friend surfing tomorrow, so it'll be our first time at the beach in a few weeks. Sure hope we can go.
The Red Hat Society (La-Tea-Da's) luncheon yesterday was SO fun!! We had 106 women, mostly in costume, that were just a riot.

Rhonda,
Your Red Hat Society luncheon sounds like it was a lot of fun.

If I wear the shirt I will post a picture. It'll be the best I've looked in a "bathing suit" in a long time. LOL! My mom emailed me that she would never wear one of those, would I? I said sure, for the fun of it as a costume. It's not the kind of thing I'd wear as a beach cover-up or to run around town in though!
Do you know where the surfer was attacked? That is really a shame. Water temp. is still 76 here, which is warmer than it was a lot of the summer due to the freaky currents we were getting. If the surf is poor, we won't go, but if it's good, Rob has been itchin' to go.
The 2 big things I like about the new office machine is that it has a flat bed on it, so I don't have to feed stuff into it, and the quality of pictures should be so much better. Wish I knew of someone who needs a color printer/scanner/copier/fax. It works fine. I just wanted a little higher performing one.
Have a nice Sunday!

Looks like no beach today. Waves are 5' and cross breaking, plus it's overcast. It's one of the few times I've seen the surf report say it's very difficult to get out (to where the waves are breaking or beyond). Conditions are just too dangerous.

Those Red Hat ladies sound like a blast - glad to hear you had such a good time. And sorry to hear about the surf conditions at the beach. How much longer will you be able to go before the water temps gool down - or is that a dumb NE question?
