Looks like they got my time right, despite the transponder mix-up - they changed my racing number for the results. My time was 54:31, or a pace of 10:58. On the 8K overall, I was #310 to cross the finish line out of 358; the 121st woman out of 149; and 15 out of 15 for my gender and age group (I was less than a minute behind the next lady in my age group). I even managed to get on TV briefly, standing in the background.

Here's the home page for Carolina Marathon, and click on the Results link at the top of the page. On the 8K Overall, I'm near the bottom of page 9, #310. Check out some of the times, ages and homes of participants - the oldest runner was 80! They also have a page for the half-marathon - interesting to go through.

It always amazes me to see people 20-30 years older than I am running at better time than I do.

Linda,
YEAH!
You Were Born An Original... Don't Die A Copy
That is great about the 8k, Linda! You did great and you should be proud of your accomplishment.
You are an inspiration to all of us.

PS..Congrats on your car. I have a Honda CRV and it was a hard decision between the Forrester and the CRV. I like both of them because they are on a car base and safer than the SUV's on a truck base. I see we think alike with cars.
