fly off the handle!!!!I swear I can't even stand myself today!!!!My hormones are wacky!!I'm using the birth control ring to level out my hormones and help with the migraines. The first month it was great but this month, I don't know!!I hit midpoint of my cycle over the weekend. It started with a migraine, then it went to a bad hair day and now it's major mood swing.I can't decide whether to cry or to cuss!!!I hate feeling like I'm so out of control of my moods, feelings and body.

I went to see my parents yesterday and felt fine when i got there. They told me they were worried about me because last time they saw me I looked too serious.I don't even know what that means!!!Then they told me how tired I looked yesterday.Sheesh, I felt lousy by the time I left.

I'm giving some thought to trying some vitamins made just for women.I'm really trying to watch my diet, drink lots of water and exercise, but it just seems like my hormones have a mind of their own.

So any way it was come here and vent or go find a bar and since we don't have any in town....

Thanks Margie!I came out of my mood awhile to do something fun.I'm putting together a notebook of my favorite exercises, pics from magazines, quotes, whatever.I put in there the week from where I met my goal on my runs.Lots of fun stuff to inspire me, motivate me , make me feel good about where I am in different areas of my life and to push me to do better in other areas.I'm even thinking about putting a picture of some leather pants in there :)

Being perimenopausal can be a real trip with what it does to our hormones certain times of the month. The best way to handle it is to think that it WILL pass!! I think it is great to blame peri on everything..from losing my temper to losing my mind and memory.

Hang in there!! It is supposed to get better...or so they tell me. All we can do is hope and know we are not alone with what is going on with our bodies.

Hugs...Grace

PS....glad you are feeling better. I am sure the vitamins will help. Try some extra soy and dietary calcium too if you can handle it.

Oh how I know how you feel! One minute reaching for sharp objects and the next reaching for the 2nd box of tissues. But reading on I'm glad to see that you're feeling better. However, I was envisioning you in your tiara sitting in the bar....Glad to find that you found a different approach!

Wait, I'm getting a visual of me, in the tiara, and a few of the chickens hanging out in a bar...... Hmm, wonder what a chicken is like after a few drinks?

Except for the migraines and visiting with family, you could have written about me, Princess! The hormone thing is so me, too! I feel for you! I have the problem 4 weeks out of the month. I threw a hissy fit (luckily I was by myself) as ds lost yet another house key, he said. I found the blasted key in his backpack. Child needs to grow up with the responsibility thing.

Patty, maybe some vitamins/minerals for women are in order for you - check with your dr. Do you feel tired and drug out? That bc ring may have the wrong levels of hormones for you - what a delicate mix we women are! I hate that you get those migraines! Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Major hugs,

Kat

My visual...

Princess with tiara, tight leather pants, martini glass sloshing liquid, and the pick-up line..."chickens are my life"... or maybe a royal hand slamming on the bar with the screech..."bring on the cabana boys!". ;)

Hope you're feeling better. Been there, done that...just last week I might add! I upped my soy intake and felt better, or it just subsided. Whatever!

Hugs.

Sassy :)
