So how did your day go?

If you can stand to listen...here's mine...work 9 to 5 with a tidy up of the kitchen before leaving, and all the other nonsense before heading out the door. Quick dinner this evening and then determined to get some sort of work out in before finishing the two loads of laundry that I had started but

I've decided that if I intend to work out in the evening I either a. need to leave the house or b. lock the basement door and wear very good ear protection so I don't hear "Mom did you leave cheese on the table because Otto is eating a plastic bag". Well if he's eating the bag then I guess he already ate the cheese and there wasn't much point in asking the question (although I did put the cheese away when no one else could be bothered). Or we could hear "is this the garbage to go out?" even though it's neatly stacked altogether. And I think I will either have to go out in the dark of night and return some of the items I threw out that have magically reappeared-(thought I was safe on that one-guess not) or find a nearby dumpster or take it out myself. I have also acquired a 3rd fish tank stand-but no fish, nor do I want any. I think I have enough people and animals to care for. Apparently we gave it to someone who has now given it back to us-lucky me!

I did manage to get some ab work in and some weights but I will confess that I couldn't quite finish the work out. I found my concentration and patience wearing thin so I decided to call it a night. Although the workout did kill my munching desire for unhealthy things that could be going in my mouth as I type this!

Sometimes when it's not coming together it's just better to end the workout.Although it does sound as though you got something accomplished, even if it wasn't all you planned on.So how does a fish tank reappear?Love how Otto finds his food :)

Got a good run in today and a few things accomplished around here.Eating could, as usual, be better.Still happy to be able to see my kitchen table.

Hey, Otto sounds like he was just trying to help you! He saw that plastic bag lying there and since he KNOWS he's to stay out of the trash can, he did the only thing that made perfect dog sense...he ate it. What a good dog you have! And at least you tried to get your workout in. I would gently, but firmly, inform the rest of the family that you intend to get your workout done and you will have no interruptions on threat of grounding or whatever it takes. Maybe if you let them know how important it is to you, they'll respect your needs. Just a suggestion. When I do my yoga, I have to close the bedroom door and I made a sign that says, "Yoga in progress, go away! Your questions can wait 30 minutes." How's that for calm and relaxing? I don't have to use the sign anymore.

My day was wonderfully fullfilling..er..ok so it wasn't, but nothing really bad happened except the burger and fries lunch. Ah well, this too shall pass.

My day went quietly. Calm at work, calm at home. Almost too calm. It - or AF's pending arrival - has put me into deep sleep mode. I didn't work out, prepared and ate a very light dinner, and fell asleep on the sofa before Frasier even started and awoke at 12:15 with a pile of dishes and my brush/floss routine still to do. DH had done the laundry, so tht was a plus. I did all my chores, but I was ready to party by the time I finished around 1:00 am and didn't sleep well at all. Even as late as I work out some evenings, weights at 1:00 am is a bit much.

Hoping I don't feel the urge to curl up under my desk by 10:00.....
