Planning a nice day of rest today after working out last night kicked my fanny. I'm feeling it all over the place. We got new routines recently and some of them are really tough.

Weather is cold here too but no snow. We've had rain the last few days but fortunately no ice yet. Today they're callin' for a high of 38. Gosh I'm not looking forward to winter's cold and snow.

Germany doesn't sound too bad. Of course, it would help if you actually spoke German. Anyway, I hope you and DH get your first choice if he gets transferred.

Have a great day everyone.

Good devotional this morning, and something I needed to read with Allison's birthday planning pending. I didn't work out yesterday because of a long to-do list, and might not today for the same: wrapping gifts, making the colored icing for the cake (color "matures" at two days), getting goody bags together, packing the H'ween decos and putting them in the attic while getting the suitcase down for the kids' treasure hunt, mopping the floors... the rest of the house cleaning will have to be done tomorrow, reserving Friday for cake baking and decorating since I don't know what I'm doing on the latter ;^). MIL will be coming on Friday too, around noon.

Well, I'll get back into working out soon enough.

That scripture reminds me of the book "A Purpose Driven Life", Phyllis. That's one of my favorite scriptures. After I wrote my response to Patty's Nov. goal post, I got out my book and started reading the parts concerning confessing everything to God, even the negative, and then leave it there. It does bring one peace to have that kind of relationship.

Congrats to your dh for passing all of those tests! Of course, you knew he would! I bet you will be so glad to see him soon. Hope you find some good deals in Denver.

The powerwalk is complete & tonight I plan to work on abs & weights. I am getting my Pilgrim and Indian out of storage to put outside.

Have a nice day all!

In a few minutes I'm going to take my DH to preschool, then work out. Cardio (and so many people here do 1 hour cardios that I'm inspired to work up to that quickly if i can -- yesterday I went to 50 minutes) and the remaining exercise machines from yesterday.

Then off to Walmart down the coast in Rockland for more supplies to finish my project of organizing the kids' arts and crafts workshop. Then home and at the computer to work at two.

Here's something funny: yesterday I invented "Power Cleaning." Well, someone may have already invented it, but I invented it too :)

Power Cleaning is doing everyhting at a bit of a jog, going up and down the stairs as often as possible, holding up my arms as much as possible when folding clothes, etc. I only had 45 minutes to Power Clean but I got a lot done and my heartrate definately was slightly elevated!

Good Morning Ladies

It's not wintery but it is rainy and damp and will be for the next few days! Today is an after work visit with the Dr for recheck on the bp with the new medication and latest set of blood work. Really hoping for some good news. I have only had one normal reading since this started way back in June. Guess I'll have to wish for a calm day at work too...but with an attorney on trial it's never a calm day!

I think I'm planning on a good stretch or yoga this evening. I haven't done that in a while and think the old bones and mind could use it.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday!

Susan -- I have a stupid question. When you do stretching, do you do the 5-10 minutes of cardio that I keep hearing is so necessary? I know I don't do it before yoga, but I've heard so much about injuries from stretching cold muscles that I'm afraid to do it.

Thanks!

Good morning, everyone!

I plan a workout today - something hard and something strenuous. Even if I'm sleepwalking. No excuses! The CMA show will keep me company.

Congratulations to Johnny on his success, Phyllis. I never thought about you possibly heading for Germany. Hope it turns out in your favor. Have fun shopping. I'm going on-line this week for the kids' toys, and wrapping up clothes shopping for them before Thanksgiving. And gift certificates for the immediate family. Keeping it simple and celebratory. At least that's my plan. And you know what happens to our best plans....

Got a call from the vendor we bought our headboard and frame from. The frame is being delivered Friday. Amen. I can finally get the mattress and boxspring out of the living room!

Have a great day!

I am so ticked off! Left in what should have been plenty of time to get to Rob's 7:50 orthodontist appt., but traffic on a nearby road was really bad. It took over 20 minutes to go 3 miles. So...to be considerate, I called the office and told them I'd be about 10 minutes late. Do you know, they made me re-schedule the appt. after he'd already missed part of 1st period?!? I couldn't believe it. We've spent $4,000. on braces and been going there over 3 years. Usually, we have to wait at least 20 minutes, and one time when they didn't enter us in the computer when we arrived for an emergency visit, it was 1 1/2 hours!! So, I got him to school late, and we will try again on the 19th -- not the best way to start my day... Sorry, but I really needed to vent.

I did get a little grocery shopping out of the way (got a 17.5 lb. turkey for $2.20 with a special coupon!!) and got some individual cards for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Think I'll start trying to get the regular cards addressed today.

It's hot and muggy this morning and has turned overcast. We have a 60% chance of thunderstorms this afternoon. There were some brief ones yesterday. Tim will fly back from Charlotte today and get home after midnight.

Plan to do some walking this afternoon and may make it back to the Y. Rob and I will be heading to his guitar lesson this evening, and no doubt, running some of
