Sounds like a fun shopping trip! We used to do the decorating the cookies too-nobody ever ate them-they just liked to decorate them!

The shopping and the cookie decorating both sound like fun! My good friend has a martini club with some of her other friends. Since I'm a tea-totaler, that's one club I won't be joining, but it's fine for them.

I made the rounds today still looking for stuff for our RWCDF table and Christmas tree at the upcoming Festival of Trees. I already got dishes, and today found a royal blue tablecloth and napkins, stemware (just one size), and about a 2' tall Uncle Sam nutcracker (love nutcrackers). Someone has volunteered to loan us flatware. I'm so glad, because this is turning out to be a really expensive luncheon for me. We'll start decorating on Sunday afternoon.

We haven't decorated cookies in years. I usually just go for taste now that the kids are older, but I did love doing it and seeing how they turned out. We always said the broken ones were low cal, because the calories escaped when they broke. ;-)

Sounds like a fun outing. I love Crate and Barrel and Williams-Sonoma - not that I'm a cook, or anything, but it's nce to imagine the meals I could cook up and the fetes I could throw using the great things from those places.

My niece will probably be bringing her cookie baking kit with her on her next sleepover. I gave it to her a couple of Christmases ago, and she still has the box it came in. We'll mix our own cookie batter and she'll cut out the shapes and we'll all decorate them.

I like the concept of calories leaking out of broken cookies. Do the carbs go, too???

Sure, as long as we're dreaming, the carbs go too!

Sounds like a good time to me. My nieces are 'too old' for cookie decorating now...although we used to do each other's nails. They had some pretty wild colors. I've never had a martini either. It always seemed like such a grown up drink and I've never felt grown up enough to drink it.
