Woo-hoo! Kid-free for an afternoon!

I've not had a chance to wrap Allison's birthday gifts - and yesterday, trying to keep her from seeing the goody bags I was working on (which will go into the "treasure chest" for the treasure hunt) was next to impossible. Mentioned it to one of my playgroup friends last night and she said she'd be more than happy to watch Allison for a while today. Al and Andrew haven't had the chance to play together for several weeks, so I knew both kids would enjoy it. Andrew was apparently hopping all over the house when he was told Allison was coming, and little brother Daniel who's not quite 23 months and had no clue why Andrew was excited, was running around squealing right alongside.
They live in a small town nearby, and my friend offered to drop by after her Bible study to pick Allison up. She just left a few minutes ago, saying "Come pick Allison up... whenever." I asked "3 or 4 o'clock?" She replied "Oh nooooo - she and Andrew will just be getting started at 3. Make it 5 or 6 o'clock." WHOOPEEE! I'm "Mommy... Mommy... Mommy..." free for a few hours and I know I'll be able to finish the vacuuming, bathrooms, wrapping, a few more items, and may even get in a run, though I must be crazy for even thinking about it in this humid weather we're having.
Ah, I need to share some Halloween pics with y'all:

Really cute pictures...a Mommie and me picture! Looks like you had a good time.
I guess you really enjoyed your afternoon to yourself. It was probably good for the kids too.
I thought I would share some pictures with you...my grandkids.
