Hope everyone has had a good day. Work was work and I will say I made a great chicken caccitore for dinner. It was a new version from my Taste of Home Light & Tasty magazine. I've been putting all my recipies on the computer and have been printing them out and making a cookbook. Once I make a recipie I like I never remember where the recipie came from so this way they are all in one place and I'm not searching everywhere to find it again.

I had a nice walk with Otto and we shared. Half the walk was at my pace and half at Otto's stroll pace! It's now inputting my newest bills in my Quicken program and if I want to go to bed tonight I need to put my laundry away because it's all over my bed!

Hope you all have a good evening!

I got my run in, still need to do weights.I've done pretty well with the eating today.Probably knowing I had to get on the drs scales helped.

My plan for tonight was to work, pick up a pizza and go back to work.Well I got done work earlier than planned and then asked DH to pick up the pizza.I took a shower while DH and DS went to pick it up. Got out and DH called , they had hit a deer.Thankfully the guys were ok but the truck took quite a hit.And this part makes me so mad!!!DH had to sit on a very dangerous part of the highway for over an hour waiting for a trooper to come work the accident. It was out of town so the town police wouldn't work it and the deputies don't work accidents. They had to call someone in from another county!!!How crazy is that??Now DH , who is swamped at work. will have to get a rental and get his truck repaired.I know it's crazy but I feel so guilty!!I should have gone on and gotten the pizza or cooked.DH says that's crazy. In the meantime my guilt has turned me into Wonder Wife and DH is loving it!!LOL I should be ok by morning.

I love my DAD so much!My sister called just after DH called me and she then called my parents. As soon as Dad heard he went to check on DH and DS.He brought DS home and then stayed with DH til police came and then followed him home.Of course then we all had to call to make sure he got home.My family could never have made it before phones!!

Had a really good day today. Good day at work, good workout, good dinner (lots of leftovers, but I didn't eat everything in sight and kept my choices healthy). Taking a vacation day tomorrow - I'm sort of upset that honoring Veterans Day has gone the way of the dodo, but unless we all band together and act en masse it's not going to become a mandatory day of observation. Not too many activities planned in any of the towns nearby. I thought the best thing I could do would be to go to the cemetery and pay my respects to my favorite veteran - my dad.

In keeping with what America does best on its holidays, DH and I are going to a small family-owned appliance store that we've purchased a few things from over the years. They're having a private sale, so I'll be checking out new stoves. I don't think my old one is in danger of dying soon - it's solid as a rock - but I'm really tired of cleaning it the old-fashioned way (thus, it gets cleaned minimally). I saw not long ago an advertisement for a self-cleaning range with a double oven and will be looking for that tomorrow.

No advice on packing light, Deb, but I have learned the art of packing knits - roll them and stand them on their sides. I manage to pack for our long winter weekend in Maine with just a medium-sized duffel bag for all my stuff, except for shoes/boots/sneakers, which I just throw in the trunk of the car and use depending on how much snow/ice is on the ground when we get there.

Hope you all had a good evening!
