Good morning-

I was going to say "wooly worm Wednesday" but unless saw Lori and Patty's post, no one would know what the heck I'm talking about.

I like the "wooly worm Wednesday", too.

Hi, Chipper - I've finished reading all the posts from the past several days. Don't feel awkward or funny venting here. Sometimes it's the only place you can turn to. If you haven't noticed by now, nothing's off limits for discussion, opinion, support, etc. Say as much or as little as you feel comfortable revealing.

Figuring out why we "eat the donuts" is probably one of the main reasons this board got started; it's become a board of friends who take time for each other no matter the problem. You're one of us and we're glad to have you.

I love that you and your family hike with your goats. I love the dwarf breeds - so completely cute!

Donna, that is so nice of you to say.....sometimes I just think that I'm very unorganized because I can't seem to get more accomplished!

Sounds like self-defence to me. Don't worry about talking about things here. That's what we're here for. You're not monopolizing the conversation. Not possible with the Princess around...;-) We call them Woolly Bears here in Nebraska too. There aren't any kind of worms here that actually have fuzz or hairs.

You sound a little like me. I eat under stress too. For me it's a rebellion against whatever stress is bothering me. Raging against the machine so I do something bad just to show 'em. Silly really when an objective eye looks at it. I resent being told what to do and to prove it, I do something I've been told is not good for me.

DING!

Lightbulb moment!

I never thought about it like that before.

I'm scaring myself now so I'll quit. Think about it. Post about it and you too can identify your own lightbulb moments.

Thank you all for the huge warm welcome. It made me feel comfortable here.

Nancy, do you have a pattern for the prayer shawls and scarfs that you knit? Can you share it. I have been working on a scarf for my DD too, but am quite slow. I would love to give out prayer shawls to some folks at church, one very special person that is on her second battle with cancer. What kind of yarn are you using? Is it that new specialty yarn from Italy, I saw it in a yarn shop a few weeks ago, it is so soft, and funky. Do you have a supplier online that you can share?

OK, here is a diet question. I am doing the Anti-Diet approach, eat when you are hungry and stop when you feel satisfied, not full. Dinner time is a problem. Every night I make a large dinner, sometimes use leftovers, but I am not hungry when we sit down to eat. This is a very special time for me, because my DD and I really talk about her day. So should I just nibble, eat later when i'm hungry, or eat anyway?

Prayer, I believe, is the answer to the toughest problems.

I think it's that "setting an example" thing; we impressionable, young ones expect so much of our leaders (You thought only one of us was impressionable? Or young? HA!). Personally, I expect more recipes like that one real soon - that one's worth indulging in. A birthday pie instead of cake....
