Doctor's visit...

Had my follow-up appointment this morning. All my blood work was excellent. Cholesterol was 168. All the good stuff was excellent and the bad stuff was in excellent ranges also. My BP is still 130/80 but she isn't concerned about it (and told me to stop worrying about it) and that once I'm back to exercising regularly again it will come right back down. She has, however, referred me to a cardiologist since I'm still have heart issues. The heart monitor test came back fine and she even commented on my excellent heart rate during an hour of cardio exercise (didn't mention the heart rate during the sexual activity period, however!). She figures they will order a stress test and echo to rule out any genetic condition. She bugged me again about being behind on my mammo so I went next door and made my appointment for Tuesday as soon as I left her office. That's where we stand. I'll set up an appointment with the cardiologist just to get all of this over and done with.

Later!

Sassy :)

Nice report, Sassy! I'd be thrilled if my BP measured 130/80 the first time the nurse takes it at the dr's office instead of finally at the end of the exam. I'm sure the cardiologist will get to the bottom of the issues you're having - or once and for all tell you there's nothing sinister going on.

Just a simple thought - do you take OTC meds for your headaches? I used to use Excedrin extra strength for that nasty hormonal headache until one day it sent me to the nurse's office at my old job with my heart pounding like never before. Caffeine was the villain -2 mega-cups of full strength coffee, plus 3 Execedrin, all before 9:30 am. I'll never forget that feeling. Can you spell "JOLT"?

Just go and do it. It only hurts for a little while and then you know you're good for a year.

Congrats on the good numbers. Take care and let us know what the cardio doc has to say.
