Ok, since I'm getting close to getting more "mature" I thoght it was time to do something fun. Time to break out of that rut we've mentioned. It was a toss up between the tatoo and the belly button ring.I told Dh, jokingly, I was going with the BB ring. And he said "I hope your 2nd husband likes it!!!!!".Was that a dare or what????

So I got a belly button ring!!!!I did however settle for a clip on one.LOL Going to wait for just the right moment to spring it on DH.And then I'll get to work on picking out DH #2.......

LOL...wish I could see his face when you spring that one on him. I'm sure you'll have no trouble finding a new husband who appreciates body art.

Patty, you're a pistol. Don't forget to tell us the details of his reaction - well, not all of them, but the key points .....

This might just be your chance to get to George .....Maybe he appreciates body art.....

A friend gave me hers. She did the clip on and then went on to the real thing. She said it was painful but she loves hers.

Painful? Aw heck. I don't remember if my ear piercing was painful or not, but it seems like it wasn't too bad. That was a loooooooong time ago though. And the button on my jeans is nowhere near my earlobes...

Maybe not. How about one of those tattoos you can buy out of the gumball machines at the truck stop?

I've got some leftover Dora the Explorer temporary tattoos that I'll be happy to send anyone who's interested!

I'm sure I'm in the minority in my opinion about piercings and tattoos. Yeah, I've got double pierced ears, because once-upon-a-time I thought it made a difference about who I was. It doesn't. I haven't changed earrings in years - if my ears had remained unpierced until this time, I wouldn't even consider getting them pierced even once anymore since I ignore them now. When I think about tattoos and body piercings, they wouldn't bring me closer to God, enhance the quality of my life, enlighten me, or make a statement about who I am. People (imo) are defined by what's inside, not outside - anything done on the outside is just a veneer.

Not intended to bash. If it makes that big of a difference to anyone, go for it - it doesn't change who a person is - but color me with a big upside-down question mark over my head. I flat out don't get what it all offers - not even my own pierced ears.

IF I decide to do a body piercing, it wouldn't take me any closer to God.
