Good morning everyone!Phyllis, missing your post.Hope everything is ok.
I am pumped to make it a very positive week!!1/2 my usual workload today and then after tomorrow I'm looking at few chicken free days. Not even going to let the fact that they're callin for tons of rain bother me.
So what's everyone up to today?Ready to start off a brand new week??Any new fitnees plans or goals?Susan, let us know how you like the treadmill.Donna, hope Flo didn't bother you this weekend. Thought about you and wondered if she brought her usual headache.Hope all you with colds are feeling better.
Weights and a walk or run today. May head up to the track today for the run.Hope everyone has a wonderful beginning to their week.

That's my plan...drop the kid at school and head out for a good power walk to the lake and back. Followed up by a workout on the weight machine...back and biceps. Abs are in order as well. Sticking close to home this morning to do laundry and some cleaning. Office for a couple hours this afternoon. I do appreciate the flexibility my boss allows me. Weighing the pros and cons of this job!
Phyllis...hope you're okay this morning.
Think Positive. Think Positive. Think Positive.

Sassy :)
I'm not nearly as psyched as Patty, but I'll try. Today is Jazzercise after work. Then I have to finish up the laundry that I didn't get done yesterday. I did a little power cleaning yesterday and, well, managed to mess the place up worse than it was before I started. I'd better get back on that tonight as well.
Rainy and cloudy here but mild 52 degrees. At least it's not icy.
Does that count as thinking positively Sassy?
Have a goo day everyone.

It's gloomy and gray here this morning and in the 40's. Got on the treadmill this morning and got a 30 minute cardio in. Have tons of things to do around here unfortunately work will get in the way! I got a litle preoccupied yesterday with trying to get the basement back in order after the unexpected arrival of the treadmill. I've made some progress but will be needing DH's assistance to get some of the big stuff out of the basement and curbside. Have you seen that show "Clean Sweep" on TLC-well I think I'd be a great candidate!
Nothing much else on the agenda for today-just can't believe the weekend is over and it's back to work already.
Hope you all have a Magnificent Monday!
Susan
We too have a gray, gloomy, rainy day. I had a nice weekend. Went shoe shopping on Sat. and actually bought a nice pair of clogs and a pair of work/hiking/all weather boots. It was time. The last pair of shoes I bought was 3 years ago, the hole in them was becoming noticable, so it's time they become yard shoes.
Did a major house cleaning yesterday. I'm with you, clean sweep would be welcome at my place. We have a small ranch, and too much stuff in it. But, I'm working on the decluttering thing. I just never seem to dig deep enough and find myself back to point A every few months.
I'm planning a 30 minute walk today and hopefully some yoga tonight.

Back to normal this week. A major workout planned for this evening. Blood tests this afternoon in advance of my physical next week. New stove coming Wednesday. Learning to use it so I can cook Thansgiving dinner throughout the week. A marathon at Costco one of these evenings. Dinner with my friend tomorrow night. And deadlines piling up.
All's well in Beantown.
Have a great day, everyone!
Donna
Glad you are "back to normal"...as if "normal" has any meaning anymore ;)
Sounds like you'll be busy with fun stuff.
Hugs.
Sassy :)
Good morning everyone.

We had a fantastically positive day yesterday! Tim, Rob, and I set out early to have breakfast at Cracker Barrel down in St. Augustine. They have some of the neatest stuff in their little store. Patty, chicken stuff is definitely in everywhere!! Of all things, this one didn't serve my beloved peach pancakes any more, but that didn't stop me. I purchased some of their peach cobbler from their store, they heated it in the microwave, and put some on my pancakes. I was a very happy camper!
We rode over to the historic area and looked in lots of shops. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and in the low 80's. Wish I'd taken my camera to photograph how neat it was with all the tourists and locals out. I got some patriotic Christmas decorations, because I'm going to do a little display of those in addition to our regular decorations and got a very cool new nutcracker.
After that we went over to the Outlet Malls and got several polo shirts for Tim. I got two really cute skirts and cardigans at Chico's for next to nothing! From there we headed back to Jacksonville northeast of where we live to the huge craft/floral design place in town called Champion's where we looked at ribbon, Christmas decorations, etc. I got a few small decorations. Then, on to Garden Ridge where I picked up more decorative stuff. I saw some things there I'm going to be keeping an eye on for when they go on sale to use in next year's Festival of Trees. Now that I know what to expect and have more time, I can really have fun with it then. I already told our club president I'm volunteering to be in charge of decorating the table next year. We had the luncheon/fashion show this past Saturday and I got tons of thank-yous and compliments on the table and tree -- very gratifying.
We also got a bark control device for Winston. He is driving us nuts with the barking and saying no-no does no good. I just put it on the piano in the foyer this morning instead of on his collar. It goes off if either one of them gets too carried away, and they look so startled. Actually, the first time it happened I thought the smoke detector was going off. It seems to be helping already. Hurray!!!!
Last stop was at Linens 'n Things to get one of those small sewing machines I've been seeing on TV. It's not the handheld one, but the little tabletop model. Sure hope it works well. All I want is to be able to sew up seams, nothing fancy. I wrapped it for Christmas. My ulterior motive is to make chair covers for next year's Festival of Trees!!
Almost all my cards are addressed and sealed (70), but still need stamps, and I've wrapped just about everything I've bought (except the stuff I've been using), so I'm in good shape for the holidays so far. I wore my CardioStrides yesterday, which gave me an extra workout with all the walking I did yesterday. It was a really nice day.
May do more running around today and get in more walking. Weather is still looking good. Have a good day all.

Sounds like a great weekend was had by all. I picked up myself some black boots at WJ Colt Friday night. Black leather, ankle boots with a "belt" that buckles. Nice heel. Very comfy and very cute. We all headed in there prior to seeing the new Loony Tunes movie. Sarah and Brett were trying on all kinds of cowboy boots. Russell and Shawn were trying on cowboy hats and dusters. We had a blast and the manager (who was the only one working in there at the time) was so cool about letting everyone try things on, including getting the kids different pairs of boots out of the back to try on, knowing full well we weren't going to buy them any. Got the boots for a cool $83, on sale from $150. I have to wrap them up and put them under the tree, though. Bu**er :(
Sassy
Great deal on those boots! Love good sales. What made your familiy get interested in cowboy boots?
How was that movie? I love Brendan Fraser -- especially with long hair and in a loin cloth!!! ;-)
